I agree with your comments completely. I absolutely detest that slowed down speech with a Dundee drawl. It screams drug problems to me. The review I left here for Ellie was intentially ambiguous - hopefully you saw that, if you read it before your punt. My experience didn't seem as bad as yours, but there are similarities.
