Just came back from booking with Rosie of Allure

First thoughts on being told where the booking was, I was thinking that is perfect as its apartments right in the centre of town. So was thinking this is the perfect place.

However, the message said on my time to go in, the bell symbol is not showing on the intercom but it's the button on the bottom right. That is not exactly the case. Nearly every button it is a case of the symbol is wiped off so you have no clue what you are typing and the bell button is the second last button on the bottom.

I say this as when I started typing an Amazon delivery driver turned up to get in and finally pressed it on him telling me it, and then it's ringing with no answer from Rosie. So standing there waiting right next to an impatient Amazon delivery driver with nobody answering.

The Amazon driver after a couple of minutes said I have a code to get in, so I said I don't know how to cancel it ringing so asked him if he knew how to, then he put the code in and we got in straight away....In essence my point is. You need to give people that code to get in the building. If the Amazon drivers are given it. punters should too as without him I would have needed to likely phone the agency to say she is not answering here and waste a lot of time.

First Impressions

It’s pointless giving the code as the code is longer and you have to still press the bell sign so it’s a pain in the arse trying to work out the worn out numbers.

But my point over the code was me and an amazon driver were standing their ringing and Rosie wasn't answering or buzzing us in (that was definitely the case as it said 'dialling and the room number' on the display flashing saying dialling with a ringing noise).

Without him being there, it would have resulted in a panicked call saying she is not answering the intercom.

It 100% was dialling, and was 100% her flat it was dialling. Just not answering.

With the code, you put in 4 numbers click bell and you are in. 10 seconds.

Its not a big deal. I just mentioned it.

Not sure what code the amazon man had but the one I have is 00 ‘bell ’ 1234 ‘bell’ I obviously changed the numbers xxx really can’t understand why the buzzer wasn’t ringing unless she hadn’t put it down properly

Diamonds did give out the code for "Quayside West" because the intercom was usually out of action.  Not good practice though.  The Amazon delivery man probably won't return pissed up and horny at 3am one night whereas as some of our punting brethren just might.

In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter. Rosie should complain to the landlords/managers of them as having all the symbols worn away off a keypad like thas is crazy for an apartment block to have.

I hope you also haven't said to her, that guy you saw is being an areshole about the intercom too, please? As its not her fault the building management is not maintaining their keypads.

It might be a ‘code’ button. Lots of intercoms you press ‘code’ then the numbers then ‘bell’.
