Car reg is a difficult one.  DVLA are notoriously happy to give details out. If it's an occasional meetup, a hire car might not be a bad idea. Otherwise you could register you car to a different address. It's ok over here as long as you don't go doing it to dodge fines, and you tell your insurance company.
