So, according to the 2011 census, 3% of the UK population was black. Of this 3% we can safely guess that 2% are men and women of the age to be affected by HIV. The rest being the young, and the elderly.

Therfor, 2% of the UK population make up 38% of the cases of heterosexuals with HIV in the UK.

With 86% of the UK population being white, even if the entire of the other 62% of cases were in the white community, this would mean an underrepresented proportion.

This isn't racism, it isn't being nasty, its simple facts.

You cant stake a slice and determine that is the status quo. If every single person in the UK was tested, then yes, we have a definitive answer which we don't. 

The reason why I asked if they were UK born or African (which you was very flippant about) was that plays a factor into if you are to get tested or not, same if you classed your self as Bi/Gay/Sleep with Trannies. If you was getting tested for STD or giving blood for example, they would ask you if you fall into these groups and then class you as high risk, then more likely than not test you. So if you came to this country from Africa, you will more likely get tested, leading to being diagnosed.

But at least we know who has the virus, what is scarier is those who don't get tested and don't fall into the 'high risk' group and continue to assume there are virus free. I think it fair to say those who are diagnosed with HIV are for the most part going to be careful who they sleep with (of course not all, but I would like to think a very high percentage will not sleep with someone unprotected without their knowledge).

If you target a group and test them more, guess what, you'll find more positive test results. Same if you stop and search black kids more, guess what, you'll find more contraband.

You seem to take solace from the stats, the stats don't tell you who has the virus but hasn't been tested.

Put it this way, if there was 2 rooms filled with 100 women each. Room A has 38 women with virus and the rest are virus free, and you are told who. Room B has 100 women but you are not told who has HIV, which would you be more comfortable punting with.

And yes Black africans will be disproportionately  higher with HIV, the lack of education and access to contraception will play a major factor into why this is. So being born here means you should be more educated of the dangers and have access to a condoms etc.

My observation is that you've read the article without properly researching it.

I've attached the article in form of a PDF, without muddling it up HIV rates seem to have reduced btw 2008 & 2017 - further more while the stats show a decline for certain groups its never changed for non black men or women only a small decline of 16%.

I guess me & you defer as people, every year my company do a marathon in Sierra Leone, we build schools and try to educate people, our bit to eradicate poverty and lack of education / awareness - hopefully that does its bit to reduce HIV rates in Africa, as stats show most of the foreign born blacks were diagnosed HIV +.

As the stats indicate most of the diagnosed were Black Africans born abroad, if there's a decline maybe the awareness is getting out there as opposed to the dooms day predictions your making about an SP's preference likely to lead to her being infected by HIV.

I will suggest you research algorithm bias, on another note while using very destructive language on this forum you've failed to realise that the stats is only based on people that got tested, so it's not likely to be 100 % gospel truth.

On another HIV /AIDS had its first outbreak in the 1980's, after the medical community became aware of the virus it took two years to identify it and another 10 years to come up with a drug that turned it from a death sentence to a chronic condition ( at least for those wealthy enough to afford the treatment )

In this countries our goal is to help people that have been disenfranchised, the political side of it I admit if not addressed is AKIN to sticking a plaster over it, but its a much bigger issue.

Wealth redistribution is the problem here even in the UK 1% of the population own the whole country 1 in 3 kids live in poverty, drug use via swap of syringes have caused a lot deaths or helped spread HIV.

In the UK 14 million people live in poverty, record levels of hunger and homelessness, falling life expectancy for some groups, few decent services etc

It's a global issue not limited to Africa when it comes to corruption. America is no exception either, while there's so much wealth - homeless people live & sleep in water tunnels.
