Parlours v. Indies.

Yesterday, for the first time in 6 or 7 years, I punted in a Parlour, simply to see a WG who only works in Parlours these days, although I understand she worked as an Indie for a short while a year or two ago. 

The lass herself was nice enough, a typical late-30s/early-40s blonde-haired Milf; but I'd forgotten many of the things that go with a Parlour appointment and they marred the experience for me.  They included: the public waiting area [I know some Parlours are careful about client privacy - this one wasn't  ]; the assumption that the session would begin with a "massage" [yes, I know; I should have told her I didn't want one ]; the noise on the corridor outside the room when other girls in the Parlour took their clients into adjacent rooms.  All those were things I left behind when I started punting Indies in 2006 or so, and which I'd forgotten until yesterday.

Before locating the girl I saw yesterday on a day which was convenient for me, I searched the websites of a couple of Parlours and saw one or two girls on them who I'd probably have considered punting with.  Until yesterday's experience.

I know we're all different and look for different things in a punt, but that experience has left me wondering if I've become too choosy.   I'm guessing that many of us who began punting in the pre-internet era started our careers visiting Parlours.  And for all I know many who did, still do.  Am I the only one of us who feels a reluctance to return to those roots from time to time?

I will punt in Parlours if i really want to punt with a WG like yours, that i am not aware works as an Indie, or if i happen to be near one and a WG i rate is working. I have no problem meeting other punters as i go to parties although most Parlours try to avoid that happening at the ones i havent punted in in recent years. If a massage is offered i always decline and get down to what i am their for, and in a brothel noise doesnt put me off as i expect it.

Also in London at least most Parlours are more expensive than many Indies in the same area i punt in, if they were cheaper i would punt more in them probably. I require VFM, most Parlours dont offer me that. One i used to punt in, the Bunny Lounge quoted me £200 an hour and the WG didnt offer any kissing, i punted with an Indie for £80 an hour who did kiss instead.

When I started punting some towns allowed full sex in parlours, and in the ones that didn't, WGs worked the streets. So much of my early punting experience was in parlours.

I still use parlours. I actually like the pretend massage bit, which usually lasts just a few minutes anyway. It's like watching a porno and wondering how long before it will turn hard core.

I love the convenience. Typically it's lunchtime and I'm on the motorway. I have the urge. I'd prefer a shag to a burger or a sandwich. If I'm near a reliable parlour it's no contest. It doesn't have to be the most attractive WG they have, I'll take whoever's available at the time - at a well run parlour I know I'll get a good service in a safe and friendly environment.

Maybe it's just me, but I like the smuttiness of parlours. I don't really want the fake cosyness or closeness lots of indies try to put on.

Although an outcall with an indie who doesn't charge more than her incall rate is my favourite kind of booking.

In my area of London Parlours used to be cheaper than Indies years ago, thing is they havent kept up with the prices of Indies i am interested in in the same area.

The only 2 Parlours i would recommend nowadays are HODs 1 and 2 in Kensington and St Johns Wood at £130 an hour. Also if in South London Debbies in Annerley gets good feedback and a few punters have said they had good punts their. Supposed to be OW only though, so no good to me going on the chance i can ask a WG to do OWO, plus its too far anyway.

Pricing wise its the same with Agencies who i view nowadasy as a totally unnecessary third party who in London anyway often dont provide the WGs premises yet charge often more than Parlours with an entry price of £150 an hour. In the North East Agencies are cheaper than most Indies i have read.

I should have added to my OP that the cost of my session yesterday was roughly parallel to what I'd have been happy to pay an Indie oop 'ere in t'north.

I expect parlours to be cheaper, though part of that is I think they're geared up for shorter sessions as the norm, whereas many indies look for an hour IMO. And parlours charge for the short session - if it runs over a little, so long as you're not taking the piss it's not a problem.

I think it would be different if I lived in London, which almost has another economy compared to the rest of the country IMO.

You're sort of right about that, the busiest agencies charge £50 - £75 - £100 ( 30 - 45 - 1hr ) others it's £150 hr. Indies can be anything from 80/90 hr and up, some even work for an agency at their rates and go on AW at a higher rate.

We don't have the option of parlours around Tyneside / Teeside we don't have them, with the exception of massage places that offer HR.

Thanks, so assuming busy also means they have good WGs if i had access to decent Agencies who charged £100 an hour i might think again about my views concerning Agencies. In London they are outrageously expensive in my view so i wouldnt punt through them again. Just shows the regional differences.

With the 2 main ones that charge £100 hr 1 gets very good feedback the other is regarded as a bit dodgy, the same all over I would think you just do a bit of homework and find the best ones. That's where this site helps.

I personally prefer parlours to indies. I've never been left standing around waiting for the prossie to answer the 'I'm at your road what the hell is the door number' call and then repeating the process with plan b and c. Which is a complete pain in the ass when your punting time is limited.
