Author Topic: Novotel Stansted parking  (Read 1907 times)

I'm looking at visiting the Novotel Stansted.  Does anyone know what the parking facilities are like there?  Is it free/a simple pay and display that takes cash or one of the ones that needs residents to get a ticket/code?

Out of interest, are you a punter or a prostitute?

Why?
He's trying to work out if a hotel is suitable for punting. Seems a valid request to me

Where does he say that? All I read is that he wants hotel advice. Nothing about punting?

If you are a member of the gym you get free parking there

I tried to find out about parking for day here once, couldn't get a sensible straight answer out of reception when I phoned - be interested if anyone does find out!

Resurrecting a dead thread, I'm heading there in the near future (for punting) and called the reception to ask. They said for non-guests it's a £20 (!!) flat-rate charge for the day, regardless of duration.

Might take public transport as there's a shuttle between the hotel and Stansted airport (£3 single). I'll see.

Knowing those rip off merchants the punt will more likely be cheaper than the parking!!

I cancelled a punt there a few weeks back because I could not get a fix on parking charges. The WG claimed the hotel had 1 hour free parking, and if that were true it would become the new drop off zone. My advice give a wide berth.

I punted there last September, but of course these things can change.
My experience was a ticket as you enter the car park which needs to be validated by reception when you leave. It cost me £2 for roughly two hours.

Typical I’ve been looking all day for info on parking, nothing on the web, then see this thread, I’ll visiting soon so will report back.

Ok so, parking is good, get a ticket from machine as you enter and pay at reception or machine in reception as you leave. I went to receptionist and asked where to pay he asked if I was staying at hotel I replied no just visiting and he took the ticket and returned it no charge. It’s seems like its a £1 and hour.
