The clinic I went to said I had to wait 3 days before coming in. I had the tests a couple of weeks ago and was given the all ok yesterday. They did a same day blood test with a finger prick but also a proper one.

HIV takes 6 months for meaningful test - earlier may give false negatives . Syphillis approx 3 months, others approx 3 weeks.
