Author Topic: What is WG?  (Read 7397 times)

Offline Daffodil

Exactly. WG is the quickest thing to type. Doesn't make me a fluffy or in denial about the fact I am paying for sex with a prostitute, just like using stupid terms like 'pro$$ie' doesn't make anyone superior or funny.

So you want to claim your way of doing things is grand, whilst denigrating others.

Because wg is soooo much quicker to type

I've not had a woman squirt in my mouth. I've made a literal handful of women squirt. I quite like the taste of pussy, but won't do it to just anyone. It's the reaction of enjoyment that gets me off. I can snowball, but it took me about a month to get used to the taste of my own spunk.

Well, I think that is probably it. The taste of squirt becomes good as it is almost a 'reward'.

Ah yes, the art of condescension, whilst accusing others of the same.

What a croc of shite. I'm sure there are many reasons punters prefer using WG, but unless they type with their toes, cock or something else, they're saving themselves about 5 keystrokes!

As for shorter words being more derogatory, that's bollocks. It's about the context in which they're used. By that definition, abbreviating 'working girl' to WG must be on a par with 'ho' then, as they consist of just two letters!

Totally agree. I have never understood why some punters find it necessary always to speak in a derogatory manner about WGs. They are not inferior beings, just normal people who chose to make a living through prostitution, quite legally. They deserve and have the right to be treated with the same respect and courtesy as any other salesperson.

The good ones do. In my experience these are the ones who don't mind being described as prostitutes. The ones who prefer to be called 'courtesans' are invariably deluded and expect people to pay £500 to watch them eat and drink.

Sir Phillip- again we seem to be on the same page .I was trying to think of a response and as usual you have put my thoughts
into words ..... I can never understand why some people on here have a vitriolic attitude to WG's ( yes , Ive typed it !! )
Maybe it's because they have had bad experiences.... but some members seem to have a downer on women in general and Wg's in particular.....I have thought for a long time that if you really don't like escorts , prostitutes , Wg's etc ,etc then don't use them !!!!

I've never had a REALLY bad punt in my limited experience , -but if I did I'd mark it up as a one off ,and  move on .

Maybe the people who treat some of these girls with respect and courtesy get a better service . ?

Yes, I try always to be polite and respectful, and I find that in general I get great service in return, plus positive feedback. I love punting because I love to have sex with young beautiful girls; so why wouldn't I wish to show them my appreciation?

I think that that is the best way to deal with a hooker when you meet them and it was a piece of advice one of the 'old hands' gave me when I first started punting. I think context is always important with these things....and if you mean to cause offence

I read this a lot. It's both sanctimonious and patronising towards other punters, who choose to employ different language. You do not hold any moral high ground on this forum, just because your posting style is different.

In the non punting world, you're just another man, who pays for sex with prostitutes and is a member of a forum where it's discussed.  :hi:

I'm sure that most men are perfectly polite when meeting a prostitute for the first time. I certainly am. You talk about the right to respect? There is no 'right'.  Respect is earned. There's nothing wrong with retaining a healthy dose of cynicism about some aspects of this business, especially if one's been ripped off in the past.

I've got to know dozens of prostitutes through talking with them after punts and whilst I've usually had a great time, as a group, they lie an awful lot and spout some of the biggest bollocks I've ever heard. They're also some of the most disingenuous people I've ever met and yes, exactly the same could be said for a few punters out there, but don't know so many and I don't care!

All of that doesn't mean people like me have a downer on prostitutes and that certainly has zero to do with other women in the real world. I'm as cynical of Kwik Fit or a London taxi driver, as Service Providers, for some of their shady practices! It doesn't mean I dislike all mechanics, cabbies or hate men, does it?

People like you try to make this connection between prostitutes and all women. Whilst this may apply to some men, it certainly doesn't apply to my mindset or I'm sure, the majority of men on here. You assume too much.

There seems to be a myth that we non fluffies don't treat women with respect. Well let me tell you this, I have treated every wg (better use that term which I personally find insulting to women who work in other jobs) with respect, and I do mean every one.

The problem is I haven't always received that respect back  - from the ones that provide poor service, to the ones that try to spend all the time chatting, to the ones who try to rip me off, to the thief who stole from me, to the ones that turn up late or don't turn up at all without so much as an apology, etcetera etcetera.

I find it insulting when some punters try to take the moral high ground and patronisingly tell the rest of us to treat them with respect or not to call them names.
It may have escaped your notice but anyone who takes money in return for sexual services is a prostitute no matter how you try to dress it up.
Two of the best girls I've ever seen were happy to refer to themselves as such, and provided services a hundred times better than you'd get from your 'high class courtesans' most of whom want you to pay them just to spend some time in their fascinating company.

Maybe you'd feel more at home on  the erroneously named auto-censored?

So you want to claim your way of doing things is grand, whilst denigrating others.

I'm not claiming there is a single correct term to use. A few previous posts had suggested that using WG indicated something about the poster- that he's possibly a fluffy or in denial about what he's doing and that the term in general is disrespectful to girls that 'actually work' in a real job.

I dont agree with this, that's all. And yes it is a lot quicker to type 'wg' than 'pro$$ie', especially if you're using the term several times in a single post/review or typing on a phone.

I agree with this statement totally, the very best prossies I have even seen were always very comfortable in referring to themselves or others referring to them as prostitutes/prossy/whores/sluts anything really. I think that was because they were comfortable and confident with what they do. The women who fixate on what word to use are the ones who are in denial about who they are and what they do or feel shame because of it.

Very good post in my opinion.

In particular I agree with you regarding those making a connection between prostitutes and all women. It's nonsense. Banking is a predominantly male-orientated sector and most here are happy to slag off bankers, but nobody would claim that implies they hate men   I often ask those who claim misogyny (a hatred of women, of course, not prossies) to quote some examples. They invariably can't.

Like you I have what I consider to be a healthy cynicism with regard punting. That doesn't mean I don't treat every prossie I meet with the respect (different to actually respecting them of course which, like you say, needs to be earned).

Offline Daffodil

I wonder if this is a reason some punters use the term, they are also in denial. By calling the prossie a wg or lady or courtesan or whatever perhaps legitimises it a little more for the punter. Adds to the fantasy rather than facing the reality that they are actually fucking a prostitute for money.

Of course this doesn't apply to all punters.

Precisely.

I find it fascinating how you can be attacked on his site, not for what you have actually said, but for what some posters assume you might have been inferring! THAT'S what's a crock of shite Matty!

Fluffy? Sanctimonious? Patronising? What total bollocks. Treat people as you yourself wish to be treated, that's my opinion.

And I'm not simply being altruistic: it really does pay off. If a WG is deciding whether to accept your booking, she is more likely to do so if she reads positive feedback on you from other WGs. This is particularly true in my case, as I prefer to dominate and my interests include bdsm and sub/dom roleplay, where a degree of mutual trust is important. Fluffy my arse.

Anyone who reads my posts will know that I am just as quick to criticise poor service from a prostitute, and to give a negative review when it is deserved, as I am to praise one who gives an excellent service. Isn't that what this site is for, to inform punters?

I'll call them what I like, no need read too much into it. Having said that I do find it a bit silly that some go the trouble of typing pro$$i€ every time.

When I started out I used to think escorts were just someone you could book for a social date or those sort of things. Didn't know that sexual services would normally be involved at all. Don't know what the actual difference between prostitute and escort is and some on Saafe seem to refer to themselves as prostitutes, whores and escorts interchangeably.

I just usually call them girls because that's what they are..  I am not really bothered what other people call them. So long as we all treat them with respect as an equal human being when we meet them - and are equally treated with respect in return then there is no problem as to how you refer to them when talking about them.  Some may find the term "prossie / pro$$ie" derogatory but its only a shortened version of prostitute which is what they are.

Offline mattylondon

There seems to be a myth that we non fluffies don't treat women with respect

It is exactly that. A myth. I'll go even further and say that from the many prostitutes I've spoken with after a punt, the so-called fluffy bridge are their worst kind of nightmare. They are the boundary pusher, the emotionally obsessive and potential stalker, the person who thinks that by bringing gifts and being 'extra nice', the prostitute owes him something. That he has some kind of 'special status' in her eyes. And yes, prostitutes have a life too, so they could do without that type of punter who pesters them with calls and texts, to ask if 'they're ok', just because they haven't logged on for 24 hours! So if we want to talk about treating prostitutes with respect, how about those type of punters backing the fuck off and leaving them alone! If they're free, they're free. If they want custom, they'll let you know. You are just another customer.

The problem is I haven't always received that respect back.

Exactly that. And as you say, if we want to contextualise this, so that the fluffier punters are not so easily offended, one could apply this across any industry where goods and services are sought. There are plenty of other forums or websites where poor service providers are taken to task. This is a forum where a particular type of service provider is taken to task if they're not up to the desired standard. Some people try to be emotive, simply because in this case, we're discussing service providers who are mainly women. To me, that doesn't have anything to do with it. Praise the good and castigate the bad... as service providers and yes, this includes their individual integrity as service providers.

I find it insulting when some punters try to take the moral high ground and patronisingly tell the rest of us to treat them with respect or not to call them names.

It is intended to be both insulting and patronising. It's only a matter of time before such people are found out. It would be better if we all accepted that punters should be able to express themselves how they wish, without the sanctimony from others. Of course, if those punters are genuinely unhappy with terms such as ho, prossie, prostitute, hooker and so on, they can simply fuck off auto-censored.

It may have escaped your notice but anyone who takes money in return for sexual services is a prostitute no matter how you try to dress it up.

I think it's a guilt complex and form of denial. Some men are clearly uncomfortable with the realisation that they pay for sex with women who are prostitutes, who in most cases wouldn't give them the time of day in the real world. Most of us accept that and see it as simply a business transaction.
