Sorry I'm new to this punting business and am still a punting virgin. Can someone please explain some of the terminology to me such as WG and EE!

WG = a working girl aka prostitute aka escort
EE = An Eastern European girl = most likely a Romanian this day and age.

Only we prefer to call them prossies. 'Working girll' is an insult to women who work in other occupations.

I can just wonder at the expressions of some of my female colleagues at work if I said to them they were "working girls"

Offline maxxblue

I always thought 'prossies' was a derogatory term. What do any (working?) girls on UKP think? I've met some really nice girls, and wouldn't like to think that I have inadvertently offended anyone.

That's what they are. We don't dress things up on here.
Would you prefer 'courtesans'?

Another term the OP might need is 'SP', service provider. That has the advantage of not sounding like an insult to anyone.

It only insults people living in cloud cuckoo.

If you sell sex for a living then you're prostitute  :hi:

WG term used to make it sound like they're working.
Also used by punters who like to think they're not actually  porking prossies.

Quite right, smiths, it is only a word after all, I use a mixture of prossie, WG, escort, girl, pro$$ie and other words sometimes, what I type does not mean anything to me, it is not some sort of secret code.

Offline londonmaxxy

Wasn't suggesting it was secret code or saying that's why all punters use it  (it's more noticeably used on some other boards) however it gives some 'respectability' in some eyes compared with other terms.

WGs hate being called 'hookers' or 'whores'...but are okay with prostitute or working girl...anyone know why?

You didnt post some punters as i would have so it appeared from that post you were saying all punters, thanks for the clarification, not being mystic meg i had no idea what you actually meant, i just went on what you posted.

I punt with whores, prostitutes, toms, i could go on, i call them WGs as its easier for me, the words others use are their business.

Damn I forgot about the word "hooker" it just seems such an american term to use like "soccer". I know a few hookers (No don't like it, I'm English not a yank) who describe themselves as whores, now that may well be because I tell them to, can't really remember  :D :D

"Toms" now that is a good solid English word, I might add that into the mix.

Exactly. WG is the quickest thing to type. Doesn't make me a fluffy or in denial about the fact I am paying for sex with a prostitute, just like using stupid terms like 'pro$$ie' doesn't make anyone superior or funny.

I think that there's also a term called "brass" which I have heard used to refer to WG's.

Me it just seems to be what ever term you are comfortable with at the time. I don't like to use certain swear words in company but I will use them in the car when someone drives like a knob.

Hooker comes from a place called Hook Street, which was a redlight district in America.

Well you learn something new everyday, I always thought it was due to a prossie getting her "Hooks" into you. Or she "Hooked" you on her line.  :hi: :hi:

'Brass' I always associate with old washed up ones  such as the sisterhood.  Whilst I don't like American terms such as 'hooker'.
I agree wg is easier to type but I prefer prossy. Everyone else seems to use the spelling prossie, but as its singular I'm sure it should be prossy. Plural would be prossies.
I can never be arsed to type pro$$y myself! Think that's the first time.  :D

I think 'Brass' comes from rhyming slang, I've heard three examples over the years and not sure which is correct.

Brass Door - Whore.
Brass Flute - Prostitute.
Brass Nail - Tail (which is apparently slang for a prostitute, women's genitals or a collective name for females regarded in sexual terms).

Take your pick.

As a rule, abbreviations seem to be more derogatory than the original words, which are simply descriptive.

So 'ho' is more insulting than than hooker, and 'prossie' is more insulting than prostitute.

I guess in the same way that 'Paki' is more insulting than Pakistani

Brass nail - tail. Tail being a term for a prostitute in the 19th century

But tail was also used in a broader sense as a woman for sexual gratification. As in 'let's hope there's some tail out tonight' or 'get yourself some tail'

If anyone  wants to learn Cockney rhyming slang watch the Sweeney, minder and only fools and horses!!

Only because the terms are used abusively. I have seen the term ho used jokingly when referring to women mainly caricaturing American pimps.

I could not really give a shit personally. I am a prostitute or prossy. I am not a Companion/Escort/Courtesan or 'High Class' anything. When talking about other girls I tend to use WG as that is the least potentially offensive term.

I just personally find the term pro$$ie childish, though I can't be arsed to get my knickers in a twist about it. Some people use it out of habit of seeing others use it and others use it to be twats or bait. Those who do that are not worth me getting riled over.

Personally I am comfortable with terms like tart and whore. In fact I actually quite like being called a whore, circumstances dependent. I doubt most ladies would feel the same way though.

I think it is not just about the terms used, but the context and intent. I have seen a few girls get upset or angry here and elsewhere in regard to certain terms, I think it depends on if the other person intends the term to be offensive.

It's accurate as I both like eating jam tarts and prostitutes, but not in a cannabalistic way. I think jam tarts tastes better, anyone who says a pussy tastes like honey is bullshitting. Brine or an old orange maybe.

I am partial to a drink from the old furry cup, but I agree. I can not understand guys liking the taste of squirt. I like the taste of my cum, but that stuff is beyond bitter.

I've not had a woman squirt in my mouth. I've made a literal handful of women squirt. I quite like the taste of pussy, but won't do it to just anyone. It's the reaction of enjoyment that gets me off. I can snowball, but it took me about a month to get used to the taste of my own spunk.
