I feel sure that it’s an offence to Podge a trafficked girl, knowingly or otherwise. Based on the fact that technically she did not consent. Statutory rape is the offence I believe.

In principle you're right. Sexual activity with a trafficking victim is an offence. Its strict liability - there's no permitted defence or extenuating circumstances.

The girls were supposedly trafficked and several arrests were made. I expect it was rather difficult to dismiss the "clients" to avoid paperwork and embarrassment as they are technically an accessory. If you do a quick google search, ministers have been pushing for rape charges for any "clients" of trafficked women.
