Thanks guys. Chibs I remember but I left Glasgow in the sixties, so out of touch with some words and sayings. Don't tend to pub it, either, as few of my old mates are around. More chance of meeting them in London.
For Clattypats (and I do still say clatty) - when I get back, I just treat Scotland as a punting desert, as I've been a fbsm bloke, since long before UKP started up. I joined UKP's forerunner when it first started - in dial-up internet days. Found the Chinese shop scene, in an old fashioned medicine shop about twenty years ago. HE from a youngish lady doctor - I genuinely went in for a massage. I used to like the shop scene, in London, so still pitch in on London threads. The London shop scene isn't what it was, though, so I can't get the energy up for them.
I did try the Cathcart, Govanhill Thais and wasn't impressed - gave up on them about three years ago. Too greedy, not great looking women and not great massage skill. Had some excellent B2B with Patcha, who is a darling, but I haven't seen her since she moved. Had some fun with the French woman, on a few occasions. Had a good laugh, when I joined up, here, and read the back catalogue on her.
Looked in on Be Healthy, in its first week and bumped into a, well-known and well worn, face from a Chinatown dive of a shop. I wouldn't go near her in London so wasn't going to have a go in Glasgow. Never indulged at Be Healthy. I used to enjoy good massages at the Thai, in Garscube Road but it's gone. They were great for Full Thai and for Thai Oil. Had a couple of good massages, over at the Dennistoun shop. A big, friendly woman and a good masseuse. Her Thai oil massage is very good. Sorts me out after a long journey.
A bit ancient, now, I stick to a couple of regulars, in the London area. Both forty+ and Chinese. The shop scene in London isn't what it was, so I don't bother.
The thread that chebs was in is
https://www.ukpunting.com/index.php?action=post;topic=237136.0;last_msg=2422466 but Sparkus uses the word regularly.
Thanks for the info. I'll maybe need to get out more, when I'm on a 'home' visit. Maybe go and see eleven chebs, in blue shirts, at Hampden?
