If you can find the right girls, Budapest is good value for sure, been a couple of times but only punted on one occasion which was decent but she's no longer about, was in 2015 admittedly. In terms of Budapest not being a cheap city, no city will be if you are going to the chain places like McD's and co, but if you use local restaurants and bars you will find it much cheaper than London

Budapest is now a very touristic destination. Some hidden restaurant will be cheaper. But in most places i found them expensive compared to the average income there. (£650/month).

I used mcdonald and other international chain to compare because they adjust price based on what the population can afford. I think it's a good way to compare cost of holiday in a country!

Other than that, going to budapest for holiday is good. For punting there are some hassle involved and too bad there wasn't a punting review like this one it would have been so much simpler!
