Hi everyone. I headed for Marrakech at the same time as nike. Wanted a bit more information on the girls and there whereabouts. Are they just sitting in cafes waiting to be spoken to? Or is there a way they slyly approach you?

yes it is busy and I haven't taken a cab in a long time,  I have a contact who meets me at airport and takes me to my apartment.  The same contact arranges the apartment.  I believe it's about 50 or 60 dirhams.  But coming back to airport from city is less. Please correct me, anyone who knows better.

I'm not exactly sure but the're open until about 9 or 10 in the evening. 

Yes there are but u cannot approach girls whilst they are seated,  the security will intervene.  Make eye contact with them and indicate that you want their number, wait for them to leave and then approach ,get their number and then walk away and phone them.  I usually ask them to have coffee with me.  U walk to a nearby cafe and enter together and sit. Order coffee or something else, most cafes sell alcohol as well,  chat and then pop the question.  I'm usually straight to the point.  Do you want to come back to my apartment,  99.99% of the time, the reply is yes.  Then tell them how long you want and negotiate a price. 
It's worked for me on all but two occasions.  On the rare occasion that she says no,  finish ur drink chat a bit more and go ur separate ways.  Whilst seated look around the cafe and try to make eye contact with the other girls there, u'll be surprised at how many girls are checking out who the other wgs have picked up a punter.

That about a fiver? Bugger, just paid 22 quid extra on my "package" for airport transfers on a bus that will probably stop at 5 other hotels before it gets to mine. That is both ways though.

I got the bus into town for 30Dh return ticket. It's just outside the main entrance of the airport, on the left IIRC (2011).

This was before my mongering days.I'm wary of punting over there, found it too surreal being in Blighty then cutting around the souks four hours later.

Being able to speak French is very handy.

Guys I really don't mean to be rude but I have never been Marrakech before. As you said I thoroughly read the thread as you all instructed. Any logical plausible common sense would dictate that a hotel room is a complete no no.

An apartment is a must. I have never punted there before or been to the country itself.

Went few years during Eid back for a holiday did not punt. Quite a few places (shops, cafes & restaurant) were closed. Didn't get back to normal till around the 3rd day.

My two favourite places for punting in Maroc are marrakesh and tanger. Tanger is different from Marrakech in the fact that early doors, there r girls walking along the promenade, who can be approached but not nearly as many as in marrakesh..  There are a couple of markets that cater for the wgs for clothing and accessories in the centre of tanger, it's possible to get phone numbers there quite easily ,the area is called the Mexican city.  Sharia mexic. Apart from that it's just the bars and clubs.  On the whole I prefer marrakesh.

cheap daily easyjet flights from London to Marrakech, if booked in advance they will cost you else than flying to Manchester.
