I "sort of" agree with the first part of your statement, i.e. things do get blown out of proportion and all the bitching and snide remarks about customers are just another way for us WG's to vent about things that more often than not we simply can't share with our real life friends/family etc.
However (and I'm referring to the bit that I'd highlighted), I like to think that no sane girl who reads the warning and has the displeasure of said person subsequently contacting her, would want to risk "finding out for herself". I agree that some posts in the "Warnings" section do come across a bit silly and pointless, some even blatantly out of spite, but personally I'd much rather avoid the man and miss out on the cash than have to worry... Of course, the man can always change his number, his name, use a different address, but I don't think many girls would ignore a warning and just think of the a money.
It depends on the nature of the 'warning' posted, doesn't it? Are we talking about genuine violence that can be corroborated by hard facts and followed up by reporting it to the police or are we talking about soft 'warnings' about supposed time wasters? On the latter, it's my contention that your average prossie either sees through that or simply doesn't care and will go after the money. I've booked plenty of prossies who've slagged ofF other prossies to me, in an attempt to put me off seeing them. I've even had that with two sisters who were doing it!
So what is a time waster? To me, it is a person who has no intention of genuinely following through with a booking or providing a service, including in the case of a prossie, a bait and switch. A punter who gets cold feet and changes his mind before or even when he steps into her place, has every right to make that choice, as a customer. It might be frustrating for you, after you've taken time to get ready but you're a supplier of services and it goes with the territory, as far as I'm concerned. Posting a number up in such circumstances is pure childishness and I doubt your average prossie pays any attention to it. And it's totally pointless anyway, as a punter can change a mobile number at the drop of a hat and book somebody, even if a prossie was to post on a forum she didn't want service from that guy. Therefore, it's effect is minimal.
We'd have to look at examples of supposedly 'violent' punters because I don't believe half of those tales. It's easy to tell when people are lying.
