Audacious Scam- warning

Last week I was the victim of a scam that other punters should be warned about. Advertising in AW and operating under the name Ms Sophia xx, I was drawn by her seemingly very and unusually literate and intelligent profile. She seemed very well read and the profile was very full with lots of quality images in her profile. She is also a 'verified member'.
So duly tempted I called her and we had several text inter-changes all of which were very encouraged and warmly welcoming. She asked me to meet her at a pre-arranged spot. We did and she (unbidden) got into my car. She seemed nice and even gave me a small gift!

She said that her incall place was hard to find so gave me instructions to drive into the back lane of some houses and in front of a back gate. She wanted money up front - I duly agreed (though foolishly now i look back). She told me to wait in the car as she would go round the front of the house to open the back gate.
That is the last I saw of her - she had run off with the cash. I subsequently got a smug text from her suggesting that i was a sucker. Which OK I was.
So please beware of this act of daylight robbery. AW of course took no interest in my complaint, neither did the group manager of a number of escorts to which she belongs.

Looks like a genuine post to me, quick search on AW brings this hidden feedback profile up then a search on here indicates she already has a Negative review for scamming a punter

An AW member for 2.5yrs and although her FB is hidden, there's lots of positives in there.

It begs the question, has her profile been hacked and is now being used by a scammer? Or did the girl retire and sell her old profile to a new girl?

Certainly the girl doing the scamming needs a degree of comeuppance though.

Surely some punters must come to their senses at the point she asks for the incall cash whilst in their car? Makes me think that there's a Neanderthal accomplice of hers near by ready to tap on the window and "encourage" the dubious punter to hand the cash over..... I find it hard to believe she hasn't got a plan B for occasions when punter gets shirty.
For this reason I reckon it's doubly imperative this cow is bought to book.

It was only after my utterly gullible experience that I realised she is most likely on drugs - rapid patter and lots of sniffing.....I hope i can live and learn but the key thing is for punters to be warned...

I'm not sure what the legal position is but quite possibly yes and i'm sure given the mass hatred of punters and prostitution the police would pay special attention to this in the event the punter went to them to report a crime

Nah. The meeting was arranged either by phone call or text or via adultwork. Arranging to be meet and be picked up at a certain time on a certain day is not illegal. I do outcalls and sometimes that includes the punter picking me up at the train station. I don't for a minute think that could be illegal for anyone.

Section 51A of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 (as amended by Section 19 of the Policing and Crime Act 2009) creates a summary-only offence for a person in a street or public place to solicit another for the purpose of obtaining a sexual service. The reference to a person in a street or public place includes a person in a motor vehicle in a street or public place.

So, the legal definition of 'Kerb Crawling' is the solicitation aspect in a public place, I don't see how collecting somebody from a pre-arranged location could be in any way construed as solicitation.

thanks for the messages of support. Yes I expected to get it in the neck from some UKP folk and I'm the first to admit that what I did was amazingly foolish. But in my own defence - it's the first time such a thing has happened in 20 years of Cambridge punting. I revealed my gullibility only to warn others and watch out for this scammer who seems to roam the Tesco, Speedwell, Lucerne, Teasel way streets area. She is a slim, dark skinned girl, tall, very well spoken (told me she was a professional actress) and her scam involves asking you to meet her in one of those streets. She gets in your car and ask you to drive her to her pad. Then takes the money and has a well-trodden escape route round the backs of the houses.
Keep an eye out for this bitch who will be on those streets waiting for her next victim
