There’s not a lot of talent in the valleys if your north of cardiff, may have to venture to cardiff or Swansea depending on direction.. I’m yet to try Swansea

Loads of European Regional Development Fund, has been spent in Merthyr and the general area.
The ERDF aims to strengthen economic and social cohesion across south Wales, for a greener pleasant land.

There would be lots of talent there, but they've all gone to Romania in search of better earnings.

On b b c wales a few weeks ago , thay reported how Merthyr now has the lowest unemployment figures in wales ! I know, I was beyond shocked myself  but since hoover etc jumped ship and mining went south , a lot of call centers etc have relocated to Merthyr, not sure why ?  plenty of unemployed who are willing  work zero hour contracts or for not the greatest wage, but things do look better up there at the moment , so looks like all the prospective s p’s are working in call centers  !  for what that’s worth .

Either you have never been to Merthyr after dark  or ... the alternative  ....is too harowing for me to write. Most of the women ( in Weatherspoons ) Merthyr are more substantial than a Black Welsh bull ... and they wear mini skirts ...
