Good on them, they must be miffed about the prices!

Let me guess.... the men protesting (if there were any) all looked like Foggy off Last of the Summer Wine, the women all looked either like Pat Butcher from EastEnders or Milly Tant from Viz?

Don’t know who they were, but they do have a point. The council just sunk millions into regeneration, Leeds Brewery set up offices and two great pubs there, wasteland was bought up to develop housing and hotels. The train station sunk millions of public funds to open a south entrance for the development.

Then the council suddenly make it an authorised red light zone.

All developers left, the wasteland has been left, regeneration has stopped plus some big business is looking to move (Burberry is based there).

I’m pretty fucked off that Leeds council wasted so much money, then insists we need to pay more tax because of cuts.

I mean, I’m totally behind the idea of making Leeds more sex friendly, but what a waste of money.

I am sure I have heard talk about the Managed Zone being shifted to the Gelderd Road industrial estate area. That would hopefully reduce the problems associated with overspill to the residential area in Holbeck and also the issues with the development area abutting the eastern edge of the existing RLZ. However given the experience of businesses in Holbeck, I can't see business owners in the Gelderd Industrial Estate being too happy about that.

As usual, the odd idiot will spoil it it for the rest by not sticking to the managed zone and being considerate about where they conduct the business.

Why move it,,if everyone and the girls stuck to the correct zone it would be fine,,holbeck lane bridge st and the area round by the commercial pub are away from residents..
If folk used the zone and were sensible about where they did the deed and cleaned up then the managed zone would be just fine

The problem is that most people don't know where the RLD zone starts and finishers a discreet signs should be put up and make the girls stick to it
Girls have worked in holbeck before the zone and will even if its shut or move most still think outside the zone is still their patch and need to be made to move into the zone as a lot of good lookers only stand by the shop or church and i will never pick up there because its out of the zone

The managed zero is just for picking the girls up in. Doesn’t include fucking them in the area. That’s still illegal if you’re in public.

Yes I know but we all know 90% of the business is done in the cars,,
But if they ain’t choosing somewhere out of the way and in view of residents then they deserve all they get

Makes you laugh does that,,
Leeds had a thriving brothel scene in the late 90s early 2000s but still had girls working holbeck and spencer place then.
Police shut all the brothels down and let the worst one and the one that caused most trouble to stay open...
I met some lovely girls in the old Leeds parlours

This.

WY Police made a big song and dance of raiding and closing all the parlours in and around Leeds a few years ago, except Winstons... somewhere where the girls were relatively safe and off the street, and implemented this managed zone a few years later.

Now people are pissing and moaning about the managed zone.

You can't keep everyone happy, and you're never going to stop prostitution, common sense would dictate that we try to keep the WG's as safe as possible, one way or the other.
