What is Legal in massage establishments?

Could  any PC plod on this site could explain the law.

1, Lone lady working in own premises offering HE, B2B  FS. Is that legal as escorts manage to get round the law unless 2  are working from the same house?

2, One lady working in a business premises alone. Is she able to offer same services as above?

3, One lady and receptionist in massage parlour where HE is offered  and owner has put up a sign "No sex services". Does this get round the risk of prosecution?

4. Is a customer committing any offence in all cases of receiving a HE?

5, Do police force areas have different rules on prosecuting business owners when sex acts take place as it looks like over the years more and more establishments have opened in Newcastle with little police action?

This explains it quite well External Link/Members Only

Other than that I would look at sites such as the CPS for a definitive answer as, unless posters here are actually lawyers, they may not be totally accurate in their replies.

I know what I believe to be the law and that is what I work from, but that is based on opinions formed as stated above.   :hi:

How does a punter know who the hell else is in the property?  How many times do you think she's alone and then you hear somebody cough or sneeze in the room next door.

But that applies to all aspects of the law. You interpret your understanding into what you know.

This discussion came up on the massage thread a while ago about legality of massages etc:

In the end it is down to the CPS whether there is a prosecution; however, the Police can still raid an establishment if there is suspicion that it is being used for illegal purposes, eg, complaints from neighbours, local council, illegal immigrants etc.
