This used tone the place to go in the 90s, it was one of Glasgow's biggest and best saunas.

As a teenager i had more money than sense I remember frequenting this establishment and some of the girls were real stunners from that time, I always wonder where some of them are now. Some of the hotter working girls were the same age as me 18/19 yrs old so would be in early 40s now.

Does anyone remember any names of the girls or (this is a long shot) if any of them are still working?

Hi replying to this post as it appears another poster by his comments here has very little or nil experience to justifiably comment on this fine establishment. I’ll also do a further post re ‘Glasgow party’ after this one as anyone reading the postings to date may believe Elise’s parties are poor – absolutely NOT.
 
Everyone that has been punting for a great many years will know of this place as you either used street girls at Blythswood Sq or Anderson Bus Station or the evening newspaper personals (before they were banned in Glasgow) plus the many Sauna massage parlours that sprang up in city centre and outlying districts. 
Our family moved from Dublin to Glasgow when our Dad got a new job in late 60’s and my brother and I sowed our oats through many punts in Glasgow Sauna Massage parlours after finding out our father had frequented these establishments post the earlier passing of our Mum . There were three I do recall were always our favourites – Holland Street, Park Circus and in particular Park Grove where Dad often went after his business meetings had deals concluded – Back then it was the Baronet Gentlemen’s Club way before Shug got his hands on it. To be fair Shug ploughed money and effort into changing things and initially revamped and improved facilities and many new girls for a great number of years before it all started to go downhill – Just a far cry from the initial well decorated and maintained lounges - Main, Video & Private plus the separately fitted Sauna, Steam & Jacuzzi rooms along with around half a dozen individual mirrored massage rooms. 
I will always remember the Park Grove House and certainly enjoyed a great many years going there however far too many girls to recall by name but so many memories and great experiences including a few from Shug’s infamous party nights. Always a great atmosphere and plenty of girls to offer a full range of services if you had the cash.

The girls I would know were all young back then but are probably now all late 50's and retired by now.

Can only speak of what I witnessed val. Often all it takes is one bad experience to sour it for ever. That's what it did for me. No offense intended TJ there is probably 20 - 30 years age gap between us and it was a nice classier place than many at one time but it did go down in my opinion from late 90's onwards and stopped going myself as standards had slipped and girls were to blatant and undressed even in main lounge area too many foreign who couldn't hold a conversation, As you say AW really changed the market place for punting almost a see before you buy and sadly it too has now got a lot of fakes and scam ads. Oasis briefly relocated to premises just along from Tropical Palms in June 2000. It was only open for a few weeks then closed... It was a shame as they had some great girls.

I have many happy memories of most of Glasgow's parlours. New Blythswood was a favourite haunt of mine when I wasn't in a nearby bar. Was also quite fond of Venus and the Royale.

I have many great memories of Parkgrove House in the late 1980s through the 90s and remember several girls who worked there. Sandie was from Edinburgh and worked week evenings and she always would have several bookings before she was even in the building. 90's definitely. Probably mid 90's maybe 96/97? I have such a good memory of the exterior, but can't remember much else. It was roughly in the area of the newspaper office - Daily Record?

To be clear, I did not visit this sauna - but my first memory of a punt in Glasgow was a pick up from the Anderston area and we parked in view of the white/black painted sauna I mentioned above. If I'd been sure of this I would have mentioned it on the "first punt in Glasgow thread" that was running a while back. That's why I mentioned it when a Glasgow sauna thread popped back up tonight.

Thanks valdishere, I was beginning to doubt my sanity there. I've always wondered about this since the "what was your first Glasgow punt" thread. I didn't reply to that thread because I couldn't remember. My earliest memory of a Glasgow punt was a car pick up where we ended up looking at that sauna. It was a terrible experience. Banquo that entire area was an old inner city trading estate with many run down buildings and warehouses many were being demolished to allow for new build & flats etc.
It was in very popular use for doing the in-car business pick-ups as it was only a few minutes drive from Blythswood & Anderson street girl haunts.

My first sauna punt was as a 19yo Student in Edinburgh in 1978, in the Executive Sauna, Rose St. It was a spur of the moment thing as I walked past, and it was great. The girl that day told me that you could get "extras" in Glasgow too, if the girls knew you well enough...

...next week, I was in the Park Grove, it was great, but extras were never offered, I lay on the massage table, naked, with a boner you could cut diamonds with, but it was completely ignored, despite a fair amount of teasingly close passes of fingernails, hair and so on.  That became a (ir)regular thing for the next 2-3 years, but student finances never allowed a visit frequency to ever be offered extras, for that a trip to Edinburgh was required.

All that changed in 1980ish, when new saunas opened in Glasgow and advertised, "Edinburgh Girls", and after a few police raids etc an accommodation was reached which lasted 20+ years.

By 81 I was working and only returned to Glasgow on holiday, and on those occasions I would often visit the Park Grove, so I was a (ir)regular for getting on for 30 years. I reckon the 80s, pre opening downstairs, were the best, although a xmas party in late 90s will always be a fond memory.

For now at least, we still have Edinburgh, although I still miss the proper massage and the whispered "any extras?" at the end....
