Calle Molino de Viento in Las Palmas and the streets nearby - Google Streetview is your friend!
I was in Las Palmas last month and thanks to this post I knew to check out this street. Appreciate it. Time to pay it back with recent info.
I looked at streetview before I flew out and noticed it seemed much more active in 2014 than 2018 shots. So I was half expecting all the RLD activity to be gone. On the contrary it is more active than any of the streetviews suggest. It is not far from the bus station so I got into a daily routine of a cheeky quickie here between the day's beach / sightseeing activities, and evening food and drink. At this time I would estimate there were typically about 30 WGs available but I don't know about other times of day.
Colombians dominate the scene, felt like they are 80%+ of WGs on the island whether in the RLD or casas. If you like curvy 25-35 y.o. latinas you have dozens of options. Anything else, few to no options. €30 for 15 min OW / P+D is the standard all down the street and service was mostly as you'd expect for that, maybe slightly better than I expected: no frills, no leeway on the clock and usually no English but generally warm and enthusiastic.
I saw 4 Colombians at the RLD plus a Romanian and a Moroccan-Italian. The latter is a stunning mix I must say and she was a great girl, plus she had good English which was a rarity, so I would have returned but didn't see her again all week. You might not be surprised to hear the Romanian was half-arsed and mechanical as soon the paperwork was done, and so was one of the Colombians, but the rest were all positive but not return-worthy.
I also visited a couple of so called "Casa de Relax" which operate exactly the same as my local parlours. They are all listed at
External Link/Members Only You should find the outer door left ajar, in which case just push in and head upstairs. Some of them had closed doors despite their websites appearing active. Perhaps they expect you to phone or buzz up but I didn't bother. Preferred to simply walk to one with an open door than stand around shouting "DONDE ESTA LAS PUTAS?" into an intercom!
Casa Dollhouse was €60/30min, so the same rate as the RLD although twice the minimum spend. Much nicer rooms of course, but the 6-7 ladies on that night were mostly the same type as I'd been seeing all week in the RLD which was a bit disappointing. OK I didnt expect nordic blondes but I had hoped to see a few nice black girls in the mix for example, but no such luck. However, there was one petite and innocent looking 20 y.o. Colombian which was at least
some change from thicc and slutty looking Colombians! Wanted to negotiate some extras but she had zero English and I got fed up of standing in my boxers poking at Google Translate instead of poking the sexy latina in front of me, so I made do with the normal service. Lovely girl but left slightly frustrated at my failure to find / negotiate a non-vanilla service anywhere.
Finally Casa de Las Rosas, this was €70/30min and the extra money got you plush rooms with fancy sculptures but the line-up was not much different to Dollhouse or RLD. Maybe even weaker than either in my eyes, but in fairness I didn't go at a sensible time of day. And even if the overall standard didn't impress, you only need 1 standout and the Venezuelan girl I saw was a beauty. More of a GFE vibe despite the continued language barrier. I was too drunk and skint to be thinking about extras by now, but still ended up the best session of the week somehow, so perhaps that extra tenner does count for something after all!
As for swinging clubs, I wasn't near the ones mentioned above and I met a bloke in a bar who said he'd been to the local one, apparently it was €50 and completely shit. So I skipped that option.
So overall I would not say the punting on Gran Canaria is "dire" - if you are happy with a cheap and cheerful Colombian quickie after the beach then you are well sorted. On the other hand it's probably not a destination for a dedicated punting trip because anything outside that bracket seems like it would be harder to find or get pricey. As a punting newcomer having a 'proper' RLD street was a fun novelty, and I squeezed 8
chicas into a week for about the same cost as 2 typical punts at home so it felt quite cheap. However only a month on and most of the punts are quickly fading memories compared to my regular ones, so while I don't regret the experience I think in future I will take a more quality over quantity approach.
