She must've cancelled her shift, she's not down as working. It's a catch 22 situation really, most of them say they won't return calls / txts if it's more than about 10 minutes unless they know for sure it's OK and won't cause problems. Better luck next time.

Don't worry about me, I just haven't been well, I suffer from fibromyalgia so sometimes I just can't commit to agency bookings.

This is true, though what I didn't say earlier to save you all reaching for your tiniest violins (not to be confused tiny pianists  ) is that my reduced client numbers are because of the fibro.

I posted on my AW blog in March when I was diagnosed and realised it was going to have an impact on my style of working I say this in case anyone is thinking it's convenient. Fibro is anything but convenient, I can assure you. It's a condition that leaves me feeling exhausted, weak & dizzy.

So here's the puzzle I was faced with, do I keep everything the same, seeing between 3 and 12 clients a week to make the money I need to run my house, or up my prices and see 3 to 8 clients a week?

Seeing more means more time spent on making arrangements, changing in and out of fiddly outfits, more chance of time wasters. It also means that I'm more likely to burn out before finishing seeing all the clients and having to cancel which or provide poor service which I obviously don't want... So what's a girl to do? 

Obviously I can only speak for myself, but other ladies may have similar reasons for increasing their prices, and can you honestly say you would do differently?

I decided to try agency work as I found the admin work was more taxing than the appointments themselves.

I started with Amour but left after some issues when the Stacey was on holiday as others have mentioned. But when I heard who took over at Bonds I knew I wouldn't have those issues

I do essentially agree with the main point. Some rates are high, and I don't want to sound like I'm having a pop at you, and am trying to sound civil, so apologies if this comes across as aggressive, but I just can't grasp why you're in such a huff about something you have no control over, and arguably shouldn't.

If a girl is greedy, a girl is greedy. If she has her head screwed on well enough to know what a fair rate is, and organise her finances accordingly, then great. They're usually the better ones to see anyway.

Plus, (and I don't mean you here, Anth) even if an escort gave a reason in her profile like "Sorry about the rise in rates guys, but my rent has gone way up!" or as Lizzy points out, she's trying to balance her ailments out or whatever, some sad punters would still get irate and call them liars. There's literally no positive action anyone can do, so any negativity is just pissing in the wind and you end up getting piss all over yourself even if you have the moral high ground.

TL;DR: Don't be that guy pissing all over himself because some escorts are greedy.

I think the reason I don't get a "normal" job is obvious, it would be longer hours for less money. I earn enough to cover my expenses, pay into savings for for the times I can't work and all the boring stuff like tax, NI & pension.

I have never claimed a benefit I'm not entitled to, but as it's impossible to prove that I'm not doing something I won't bother trying to convince you otherwise.

I'm sometimes weak and dizzy. I have bad days, these are called attacks and I'm having fewer of them now than I used to as I've found a lot of coping strategies; I take time off when I need to and have a better understanding of my condition. Again, most of this is due to being able to set my own schedule, breaks, and stress levels. None of which would be possible if I got a "normal job".

I don't want to go on ESA/PIP/Universal Credit and be dependent on others! I have skills that I can market, so why shouldn't I do it on my terms?

The crazy thing is, I lowered my rates last week to pre-fibro prices as I am much better than I was in the early days. I remembered you guys saying that no one ever put rates down when the bad days were over. My compromise now is a deposit on all new clients not booking through AW, so I can still concentrate my energy on genuine clients.

I see commenting on this topic as a way to try and let you see that the twats you're renting by the hour have people attached to them. If you were diagnosed with a health condition which made work difficult (but not impossible) would you quit and go on benefits? Or would you stick it out and adapt?
