Hi all, new to the site but visited this massage shop in Bath after moving here recently.

Comms: I called ahead and booked in an hour's full body massage for £50, which I thought was a little more than usual. No indication of extras over the phone but I assumed that's fairly normal. The woman on the phone was quite abrupt but that could have been down to her English not being very good.

Location: It's on a fairly busy high street in Bath, right in the middle of it, so I have to admit I felt like a lot of people were staring as I walked into the shop.

Massage: As I walked into the shop, I immediately noticed how small it was. There were no side rooms that I could see, just one room with some curtains dividing the different massage tables. I was asked to whisper because there were massages currently in progress. I spoke about my booking and they looked confused and said there isn't anyone available. I then had to sit in silence for 10 minutes whilst they waited for someone to either finish a massage or another masseuse to come back from her break. The latter happened, thankfully.

I was led into one of the middle "booths" (more like a hospital curtain arrangment) and asked to remove my clothes. The masseuse looked to be about late 20s (hard to tell as it was very dim) and had a pretty face. She carried a little extra weight but I would call her curvy. She left as I undressed and I got on the table. She came in, covered me up and started the massage.

The massage was good, not the best I've had, but I just could not relax because I could hear the 3 women chatting and giggling just outside the curtain and, about 10 minutes in, heard the guy in the "booth" next to me finish up his HE. Not pleasant. This gave rise to a big laugh from all the masseuses, including mine. Not a great atmosphere. The masseuse then left for a moment and came back in, no explanation.

I started to relax a bit as it then became quieter. A few CC swipes and really worked on upper thighs which felt great. I was asked to turn around and the towel was kept on. I was semi hard at this point which she noticed. I then noticed that this was a different masseuse. They must have pulled a switch. She pointed to my tent and held a finger to her mouth to tell me to keep quiet. She pulled off the towel and gave it a few tugs then held up 5 fingers. I, having to whisper, asked her how much and she said £50. Just for HR. I said I'd do it for £20 but really wasn't bothered either way at this point. She agreed by starting HR, which was really good to be fair. She used a lot of oil, grazing nails, blowing air and the combination was great. I was allowed to touch her bum and legs but only outside. After 5 minutes I finished and she cleaned me up, said don't tell anyone then left. The first masseuse came back in and then carried on my massage. I said I was fine as I could hear another guy now coming in and just wanted to leave.

Overall, £70 for an average massage with good HR but in a very awkward, close environment where it seems everyone can hear everything. And the masseuses talking to each other through the curtains is very off putting!

Hope this review is helpful. It's my first one so any pointers or suggestions on how to improve are welcome. Hopefully I haven't made any mistakes!

I had a similar experience here recently,  i.e. the confusion over my booking and the sudden, unannounced switch in the middle of the session.

However, there is a separate room at the back of the shop as well as the curtained off areas at the front. Probably pot luck which you get.

Additionally, the location is well away from the busy shopping area and I would consider it relatively quiet.

I'll post my review later albeit it will be similar in a lot of respects.

It's also pot luck on whether HE is even offered at all.

I've had some very good massages here don't get me wrong, But on the several occasions I've been here it's been offered once.

My only gripes are the lack of privacy in terms of just heavy blackout curtains. Whilst this is fine for just a massage with no HE. It's not ideal if you ask to use the toilet and the back massage table curtain is not closed properly... So avoid the back massage table if you can at all help it.

This establishment also caters massage for both genders as you can see from the trip advisor reviews.
