Both are quiet, I think most people are organising their own thing on sites like fabswingers.com
Plus you get tons of single blokes there so you are lucky if you get lucky.

It got to the point that for me it was a waste of time and money going.

Clubs can be hit an miss depending on which events that you attend. Don't expect just to walk in and find yourself someone to bang. Sometimes for the money it's just easier to pay for a punt.
