External Link/Members Only. But it is poorly run and I cannot recommend it. I was interested in meeting a young woman called Sophie on the mck website. First, I telephoned to inquire about her availability. After talking to a receptionist, I was told that I would hear back one way or the other. After 24 hours, I had to telephone again to find out Sophie's availability as mck had not contacted me. Regretably, she was not available when I had requested. Then, Sophie showed up on the mck website rota and I contacted mck and made an appointment.
On the day of the appointment, I was caught in a vicious traffic jam that went on for over an hour and texted mck from the traffic jam (it was that bad that I could text safely) an hour before the appointment. Mck received the text and asked when I would be at the appointment. I texted back that I would let mck know after I was out of the traffic jam. As soon as I was moving again, I texted and said I would be a half an hour late. Mck texted back that this was fine.
I arrived at the appointment more like 45 minutes late rather than 30 minutes late. Again, I texted mck from the parking lot and was told that this was fine.
I arrived at the building and was let into the building by someone who was leaving. There was no number on the doors that matched the number for the particular apartment to which I had been directed. Another text with the answer that the number had been removed. I knocked on the door with the removed number, across the hall from an apartment with the next even number (the subsection of the building had only even numbered apartments). No answer. I knocked again. Still no answer. Another text. I was told by text that Sophie would leave the apartment to look for me.
No one left the apartment (I was standing ten feet away from it).
Then mck texted me, accusing me of not being at the building. (Later I texted mck my parking ticket receipt showing that I had arrived at 1:37 pm in a parking lot a five minute walk away from the building.)
After 15 minutes, mck cancelled my appointment, claiming that I was not at the building.
I understand that people's time is valuable and, if mck had texted me in response to my initial text that I was stuck in a traffic jam, that my appointment had to be cancelled, I would have been disappointed. But instead, mck told me that arriving late was alright and then accused me of lying about my location.
I have no idea of whether Sophie was in the apartment at anytime during our hour scheduled visit. She certainly was not there by the time I arrived 45 minutes late. Again, canceling my appointment because I was arriving late due to the traffic jam would have disappointed me but leading me on to complete the trip and then lying to me about Sophie looking for me is inexcusable.
Mck has not apologized for its and Sophie's behavior or for their wasting the extra three hours of my time that completing the round trip from the traffic jam (rather than turning back) cost me plus my out of pocket expenses for petrol and parking. I, of course, informed mck of all these details.
This is exceptionally poor customer service.
I recommend steering clear of mck and any of its young women as the organization is so badly run.
