Hi,

I'm heading down to London in January and wondering if anyone knows any hotels that are safe for taking WGs back to?

I'm down seeing my team play West ham so somewhere not a Million miles from the East end would be ideal.

Any help really appreciated as I have no idea where to start looking and want to get both room and WG booked ASAP

Cheers

Ha thanks I'll bear that in mind. I only ask as the Jury's in Newcastle are unbelievably up tight about extra people going into rooms and have been known to get the police when they suspect WG's in rooms...hoping to avoid somewhere like that obviously

The IBIS in Aldgate East is a classic WG premises as the receptionists seem to turn a blind eye to all comings-and-goings, so that should be OK to use as a base....

Perhaps the most classic in the entire London is "Copthorne Tara Hotel London" in High Street Kensington. And it is also a “4“ stars hotel (note the sarcastic use of inverted commas as it is too wear out and it needs refurbishment). But yes Ibis in Aldgate East is good considering you want to be in the East London. You may also consider "Holiday Inn London- Stratford City". Good hotel, low price, large lobby area (so discrete).

The short answer is that any and all chain hotels are fine with taking WGs back to. Mrs Miggins's B and B might be different.

Most WGs who do outcalls are smart enough to show up looking like they're students or something. I've seen a fair few girls who show up looking quite ordinary, and when they've got into the room, then it's all different.

I usually go down to the reception to meet them, shake hands and then get back in the lift pronto. I have a line ready that I've never yet had to use, which is that I'm 'seeing one of my students'. Looking at me, an ornery looking middle-aged bloke, and some studenty looking bird, it's entirely plausible, and so why would anyone be remotely interested anyway?

Remember, what you're doing is NOT illegal.

As regards location, go for a Travelodge. The newer ones are pretty good. Rooms might be slightly on the small side, but book in advance and you'd rarely pay more than 50 or 60 quid for one of their suburban locations out east. If they've got a sale on, this can get down to 25 quid. Maybe even less. I've had rooms in the last couple of years for a tenner.

and before paying for your travelodge room, always do a google search for 'travelodge discount code' as you can often get £5 or £10 off the price if it's not already on a special offer

Travelodge is Stratford is pretty good.
Newly built and 5 min walk from westfields.

The currently discount is £5 off when using the code -  REWARDB2
