Due to the benevolence of another forum member, I now have the gist of it. First I annoyed Freya by phoning 20 minutes before the booking. I did apologise for doing so and said I was happy to wait.
The phone call was bizarre. I only wanted the street name and house number, but Freya kept going on about seeing a road sign. From where I was parked this was physically impossible, so I said I would enter the estate again and she snapped that I should call again when I could see the sign. Why she didn't simply give me the street name and house number I don't know - it is a tiny estate and roads are not hard to find. However, the phone call led her to think I was weird and her instinct was to call off the booking.
When Freya saw me she did indeed think me horrendous, mentioning in particular my fat stomach and the hat I was wearing. The hat, a simple waxed cotton affair, was worn because it was raining hard and my coat doesn't have a hood. As to being fat, I did email Freya last year and tell her my age and weight - subsequently referring to myself as obese - and asked if she saw clients my weight. She replied that she didn't discriminate. But she obviously does. Had she been more honest about fat clients then I would not have tried to book her!
