If you book four nights in a hotel, paying a single supplement to get a double room, do you have to tell the hotel that you're having a guest with you on one of those nights? (ie, in reality, an overnight with a girl).

Do they need to know because of fire regulations?

Does the hotel need to know ? or does the girl just come straight up to your room?

That makes me laugh lol. They ask for my ID if I pay cash. They also ask for a name of second guest. I always say he is coming later. However, with all the men I have in or out, and no doubt its the same with other guests, how will they know how many people to account for if god forbid there is a fire.

A few years ago I was an unaccounted for guest in a clients hotel room when the fire alarm went off  in the early hours :scare:

I opted to stay put and hope it was a false alarm while the client made his way to the fire point.

Thankfully it was a false alarm , just as well lol
