I do not understand the furore over Sophie Bell being jailed. At the end of the day she slept with a minor hence entered the domain of a peadophile. That is the only reason I would refuse to meet her, not because she is a sex addict or had affairs. Most of us have partners yet do this however I would like to think none of us sleep with minors. Being a sex addict does not make you psychotic or mean you have sever mental health issues it is in the grand scheme of things a minor mental health issue.
it's positive you recognise sex addiction as a less severe mental illness (guess it depends how severe it is), but sad you are another who would ignorantly label her a paedophile. Google the term maybe?
It is an inherited biological dysfunction, much like being homosexual is; a chink in the chain of reproduction and the continued survival of the species; an abnormality.
A person who is sexually aroused by, and desires pre-pubescents. Naturally they all don't act on it, thankfully. But they are more often than not born that way, just as people are mostly born gay, and it's not a choice; but obviously, some (although rare) will choose it. I watched a fascinating documentary on it recently; was really eye-opening. Just as recently as 50 years ago being 'queer' was deemed all sorts of witchery, now it's better understood and accepted. We are now understanding more about paedo's and more research is being conducted, and hopefully, that will mean less harm to children. The crucial difference is, homosexual relations between two consenting adults, is a very different dynamic to wanting to have sex with a child. That will never be acceptable, and rightly so.
As multiple others have already said, and you can read for yourself elsewhere online, this was a sexually mature young man. That she even knew he was underage isn't even known.
How many men and women the world over have been fooled by younger people pretending to be older? Are they all paedo's too in your view? I've seen 15-year-old girl who could easily pass for 22 dolled up. It happens. She wouldn't be the first to be caught out by a jailbait teenager.
Be interesting to see if it materialises she knew his age. That's a whole different ball-game, but it still wouldn't make her a paedophile. A person of very questionable morals, absolutely. And it would definitely put me off booking her.
