External Link/Members OnlyI made a booking with Maria and arrived in Addlestone.
I was slightly confused about her address - the entrance to her premises is on a side road, not the main road. I called her and she directed me to the entrance. Unfortunately a chap arrived to fix her boiler at precisely the same time. It was a bit awkward!
Maria said she would call me in 10-15 minutes. I went off to nearby Tescos, awaiting her call. She never called and after waiting for an hour I had to go. I did not want to call her because I presumed the boiler man was still there.
24 hours later I called Maria. She said the boiler man was at her flat for a very long time and she had decided not to call me. I asked if I could see her and asked if she could extend the time a bit as I had travelled quite a way, got stuck in traffic etc.. Maria said she was not prepared to do that.
It obviously did not bother her that I had spent a lot of time to reach her. She must have been aware that my visit and that of the boiler man might clash.
It might have been worse though - imagine we had been busy when boiler man had called!
