Author Topic: Profile Reclaimed Back, after hacked by Romanians.....  (Read 3042 times)

Sounds like a lot of trouble just to steal a profile for verification and a few FB's but her story does somehow sound believable.

AW are aware of pls & texts that are going around, and there's been a few ladies on Saafe who have lost their profile and 100s of creds to the scammers.

Yep I have had dozens of these texts and almost replied whilst half asleep one morning.
They can rake in thousands of pounds doing this from credits as well as what they make selling the profile with feedback (they sell for quite a bit as when I was thinking of retiring I was offered a fair bit of money for mine)
Some girls don't cash out their credits so accumulate a few thousand on there which the scammers quickly have sent to them.  If they get three profiles like this a week they have made a good amount of money.
It is one of the reasons I always advise girls to never leave more than about £50 in credits in their accounts, that plus AW like to delete your profile when you have a lot of credits as it suddenly becomes a fake profile that has had numerous complaints that the photos are stolen even thought hey match the verification photo and passport details they hold on you and they get to keep the credits themselves

Hardly a genuine hacking, just a case of someone giving their details out in a phishing attack.  Typical that it was a Romanian gang attempting to get pre verified accounts. Just another way round the AW system.

Offline James999

Hardly a genuine hacking,

that's what I thought more a case of Dopey tart giving out her log in details, How does she know they sold her profile on though? and how much for ?

She talks as if she's something special, if she didn't have her head up her arse she might have seen the con coming  :sarcastic:

Was it more if you deleted the pictures  :sarcastic:

I would be very surprised to the point of fainting if a young fit Romanian wanted to keep my pictures on there :D

That's messed up! Why do you put up with that? Is it because AW are the biggest escort site in the UK?

That's a disgraceful way to treat their customers, that's just stealing. I'd be absolutely furious if they did that, it takes a lot of time and effect to build up a reputation, how can there be any trust between WG and AW if they pull stunts like that!

Do a lot of WGs have issues with using Adult Work?

If a prossie doesn't use AW she risks losing a lot of business, even the bitter old hags off PN had to reluctantly join after they found out they were losing business. John I suggest if you have a problem with AW, don't use it and don't pay for anything on their site.

Thanks for the reply Ali,

I'm just trying to understand why they'd abuse their position as number 1 by screwing over their clients, I just don't understand it from a business/trust POV.

Valid point though! I suppose I use it because there is nothing better, it could/should be though. That site makes a fortune!

They're not merely number 1 though, they basically have a complete monopoly and are 100 miles ahead of any of the competition. They can pretty-much do what they want as there's no alternative.

There was a thread a while ago where people suggested Nik from here should start up a competing site, and the reasons he gave why he wouldn't want to I assume are the same reasons why nobody else starts up a decent rival AW either.

Because it's FREE and not there money anyway as it's that of punters / lurkers who have purchased the Gallery  :music:

Could you post the thread, I'd like to read it. Didn't realise AW basically had a monopoly at this point.

What where the reasons?

Do escorts not get a cut of the profits from gallery and video sales? I thought they got like 70% and AW got the other 30%

Just seems stupid and counterproductive to delete escorts profiles for the sake of stealing their credits, especially if they have clients who use them and potential customers who have their profile saved in their hotlist etc

For every video or private gallery purchased they get 100%, albeit as credits. I don't know if AW take a cut if it is transferred to a bank. AW don't delete profiles to steal their credits, they delete them if they breach guidelines. I suppose if the credits aren't paid out AW don't lose anything. Credits are virtual money.

Aw take 30% of money withdrawn. Before they're criticised too much for closing accounts in breach of terms, PayPal do the same, they reserve the right to confiscating cash for 180 days.

How the fuck is it virtual money.  :unknown:

I spend £2 on a private gallery.

Adultwork take the profile down for whatever reason.

Adultwork keep my £2, that is REAL money, MY money, not virtual money.  :dash:

Sorry it's virtual money if your a provider and it's not transferred. It pretty much just sits there for a few days before the transfer date. If the account gets taken down before, the girl gets no money, that's why it's best to report spam profiles early.

I remember about 2 years ago reading a thread on a webmaster forum about a scammer complaining because AW had canned his account, he had 100s of   fake profiles and had over $10,000 in credits from picture & video sales before AW deleted his account.

That was the black hat site and was a load of rubbish. The amounts he claimed he had on the accounts he was very specific about as he claimed he had under the cash out amount on each account, thats why he lost so much.Oddly enough the amounts he claimed multiplied by the amount of profiles claimed differed by about a couple of grand. That was only one thing he was pulled up on.On the forum himself the whole technical side was pulled apart.

Yes they take a cut.As for breaching guidelines. It's amazing what they class as a breach, especially if you have a particularly large credit build up.If your account is taken you really have nothing you can do but swallow the loss of your money. As for AW not losing anything.Of course they don't,they gain all the cash as they run the credit system.
