Morning Chaps.

Quick question.... does Wakefield have a Red Light District? Growing up people used to always make a joke about "Argos Corner" being where hookers stood but believe that was just a place women/men waited to meet friends for a night out. I've lived in and around Wakefield all my life but never knew of a street/road where ladies of the night worked.... Any info?

Not that I'm aware of and like you I've been in and around Wakefield for years.

Can't rememeber name of road,  but there used to be.

It was all put an end to in the early 90's by enthusiatic policing I believe.
Not heard of it ever starting up again

I'm not aware of one.

With the tolerated zone in Leeds about 20 minutes away, it's not hard to see why there isn't one.
