Author Topic: More street prossies  (Read 2073 times)

Online NIK

Another one walked past me on Sussex Gardens gave me the eye but didn't speak. As street prossies go she was't too bad. There were tourists behind me with kids. These prossies really have to be careful.

Better still just afterwards I was having a drink outside the Swan on Bayswater rd when this painted horror stopped on the street and stared at me. Next thing she came and sat at the vacant table near to where I was standing. She didn't speak but it was obvious what she was after. However the doorman, who is a friendly guy who I have got to know and chat to over my last few visits came out to talk to me. She immediately fucked off. But to confirm my suspicions she accosted the first single bloke walking past who dismissed her.
It seems these creatures are getting increasingly desperate.

Was the Swan one a Marble Arch Romanian from up the road or a Brit?

She looked a bit like a Roma. Didn't hear her speak though. The ones who did speak on Sussex Gardens were 100 per cent Brits from their accents.

Where exactly on Sussex Gardens? What time?

They are usually towards the Edgware Road end although occasionally I have seen them further down. I suppose they can be around anytime after dark.

This is going to sound really, really strange but I've been using Paddington Station for 25 years, walking there and in the surrounding areas at all times of day and night, sometimes regularly other times less frequently and i've never ever seen any SW's in any of the nearby streets.  This includes frequent walks along Sussex Gardens.  Once, late at night, 3 sails to the wind, and waiting on the station forecourt for the mail train, I had to fend off a very hostile and aggressive South African bloke who simply wouldn't believe me when I told him that I had no idea what street he should go to find all the hookers. :scare:

There didn't seem to be any for several years. It appears that they have returned relatively recently.

I'm not so convinced. I walk along Sussex gardens every morning and evening to and from Paddington station, and I've never seen anything like this.

From your experience has it always been late at night or around 6-7pm?

Well usually about 10pm at the earliest, but I expect they are there before then.
