So last Saturday I decided to make a return visit to Classy Brandy at her flat in Leyton. Full review to come.

To add to my experience I brought my laptop and one of those little mobile speakers a cambridge Go-Minx. Its a great little speaker which I use all the time whenever Im out and about. I used it as part of the punt to play some tunes I liked - which is what has led to my dilemma.

The punt was so good that I clearly wasn't thinking straight and I got dressed put my laptop back into my bag and the lead, got dressed but completely forgot to take the speaker.

I only discovered I didn't have it the next day when I checked my bag for work.

The speaker brand new is worth about £100 so something Im quite keen to get back.

I contacted Brandy and she told me she didn't realise I had left it and that she'd checked out of that apartment.

Now thats all believable - I knew she was leaving that weekend.

I responded by saying I know but was amazed she hadn't noticed Id left it as she started to get ready for her next punter right after me. The speaker was positioned on the side table - so would have been right next to her head next time she lay down on the bed.

Now this is where it gets a bit suss. She then said sorry but she saw the other client in another room and immediately started to pack her things to go so didn't realise Id left anything.

This is possibly believable. She saw me in a completely new flat for this punt - same building just a different flat within it - number 5 instead of number 3. Not sure why.

The only thing is if she were relocating back to the original flat for her new punter it doesn't explain why she didn't get fully changed. she got ready for the next client by spraying on new perfume and putting a t-shirt over her head. No other clothes went on. If she knew she had to vacate that room to meet the other client would she not have put some jeans on - or started to pack up the contents of the room while I was there? Doesn't compute to me.

A tricky one - I didnt want to straight out accuse her of lying when there is an element of doubt so I asked if she thought the speaker might still be in the flat and who should I contact to find out.

She said she didn't have the number but would try to find it for me then said 'You'll have to just tell them you lent it to a friend 'cos otherwise it won't explain how you were in the flat'

I thanked her and she responded by saying 'I'll look for the number and let you know when I find it'. That was on Tuesday - its now sunday. Ive sent a couple of texts asking if there have been any more developments - nada. Tried ringing her today - she didn't pick up.

So what do you all reckon? Has she theived this? Or has she left it as a 'bonus' for whoever she was leasing the room off, hoping I would never try to reclaim it.

Admittedly I have been an utter twat for forgetting it and half of me is thinking I should chalk this one up to experience and let it go. The other half of me is thinking sod that! There is a principle here.

What would you do in my shoes?

Sorry to hear mate  :(

This is not my favourite WG  - never met her - read her reviews, but seen her on AW cam.

As a result, I am going to reserve judgement.

All I would say is since she appears to be very unreliable, I am not surprised she has not responded to your texts. Then there is the issue that some WGs will not go out of their way to help customers - even if they can.

Good luck mate - hopefully posting your comments here may have an impact and help you to get back your speakers

Part of me is thinking should I go down to the building and buzz the flats I punted in. If she's being truthful and she hadn't noticed it one of the new occupants will have discovered it by now. They might even be thinking where did this come from?...

But what would I say when I got there? Should I say I was visiting a friend and left it behind by mistake...

I suppose its one option I could try to help me narrow down whats happened.

Or would that be a big mistake... what does everyone else think?

Offline Jonestown

Its gone mate, move on, nothing to be done now without drawing excessive attention to yourself.

At least you have a spare lead in the event that you buy another speaker, not much of a consolation, but there you are.

Offline threechilliman

Another reason why I only ever took myself to a punt. Pitching up with a load of gear is asking for trouble IMO.

Offline Rock123

She definitely took it I reckon as it is brand new and expensive and how you described it not easy to miss.

However as you have no evidence mark it down as a bad experience, never see her again and never bring anything to the punt except yourself, your punting phone and the cash.

Offline hungrypunt

course shes had it, but nowt you can do.

I turn up with money and a hard on, even the only key I take in is my car key, I take all the others of the ring and leave em in my door well, that way I can leave after the punt without losing anything except my spunk

She must have nicked it, she's black.  (No, I honestly don't think that, I just think others may well think it. Hence I said it sarcastically).

I turn up in cheap wrist watch without fail as to show time start finish to the lady concerned.
Mints and chewing gum
Oyster card/car keys
Correct fee in left trouser pocket and about £60 just incase for unexpected extras..

Leave behind used rubber john with my venom in it in a few tissues..

That's it!!!

No need for me to turn up to see an escort with nothing more than the above!!

Nothing like a bit of casual racism.

But yes she's obviously helped herself to a functional, great sounding speakers that cost her nothing. The stories about changing rooms etc, all bullshit.

You thinking it might still be in the flat is actually a bit juvenile of you. The easiest explanation is usually the right one.  :hi:

I am not so stupid as to take things like this to punts, utter madness in my view. If I was that bothered I would ask a WG if she had a cd/dvd player and take my own cd with me, if she didn't no big deal.

Who knows if she has nicked it but I wouldn't be getting my hopes up I would be seeing it again if I were you. I would mention this incident in a review though, punters can then read it and make their own minds up what they think.

Me too. I was wearing a cheap Casio watch. Took it off as was it was feeling uncomfortable, and put on a bedside cabinet. Next morning couldn't find it. Then the penny dropped. Put it on the bedside cabinet. Called her, only to be told haven't seen it. But would have look. Called her back few hours later, only to be told can't find it?

And she was one of my regulars. Stooping low to half-inch a forgotten £15/20 watch!!

Offline latecomer

If she was innocent at least she'd pick up or return your call.  She's a liar, she's nicked your speaker and you're never going to see it (or her, if you're sensible) again.

Offline misterali

I honestly think she didn't pick his calls up (assuming she was innocent) because it sounds like OP was quite insistent and persistent in his quest to retrieve his property. Naturally this would not have ended up positively for her, if he was to chase down the apartment owner and he/she was to know she was escorting out of his/her flats. And also by the sounds of it no amount of times she is to repeat the information to him will he accept the outcome of the events.

She has taken the only logical step which is to allow the grieving process to take place. Until said customer reaches acceptance stage there is no point in discussing with him further.

Also he's hardly likely to become a regular.

Offline Northerndave666

Richer Sounds...£79.99 move on.

Oh, and who the fuck takes a laptop and speakers on a punt? Do you ensure you're wearing your Rolex or Omega too and a fat wallet bulging with cash and cards ?

The op taking his laptop and speakers, now surely that's asking for trouble, never take anything with me, might have my ipod, and Bluetooth earphones, but before going into the apartment, I put them away in a zipper pocket, along with my wallet

Might share a bath with the escort, so my £300 watch comes of, and goes straight into my trouser pocket, don't want to lose my watch

I usuallt leave my drink behind.

Once left a piece of clothing with a regular but as I was seeing her the following week she kept it for me and made sure to give it back. She  messaged me fifteen mnutes after my punt ended as she was preparing for the next punter.

If you were going to get it back she would have messaged you already.

If your having to do the chasing then give up, move on and stick to your mobile phon with spotify and a loudspeaker in future as the chances of forgetting that are 1%.

I once pocketed an escorts workphone when I pocketed mine. Charged her £50 to give it back as I was in the other side of the city.

It’s not so big a sum if you just imagine you’d spent it on a second punt.

Prossies are in a grey area between regular life and a criminal underworld. You know that when you go on a punt. It doesn’t mean quite a few aren’t honest: I’ve left something at LS sauna on occasion over the years and always got it back. But dealing with an indie is a different thing. She often tries her best not to identify with the job ... screws a couple of guys then goes to see friends and family, goes shopping, pretends nothing’s happened. She has no expectation of a punter returning to the same address any more than a visitor from abroad who was about to get a plane home. She doesn’t keep a lost property box to look after forgetful johns who happened to be using the same room for half an hour. She is unlikely to see your ‘discarded or abandoned items’ as her responsibility.

Taking posh sound equipment to a punt sounds weird, and it is easy to forget things after the temporary small dislocation of consciousness that should normally accompany orgasm.  So your security needs to be well-rehearsed and tight. Anything not in a zipped pocket or attached by a safety chain is a potential liability unless disposable.

Have you tried humming?

? It's completely your fault. If you left it on a bus or in a pub you'd almost certainly lose it.... Dunno why you expect an escort to be a paragon of virtue. In any case, you can never know for certain where it went. Her pimp or next punter or owner of property could have swiped it.
It's not pleasant losing property but just chalk it down to experience and move on - continuing to dwell on it to this extent is futile and making you unnecessarily tense. Life's too short for this.

Talking about casual racism, I got accused of that recently was having the craic with some bird who’s fella is French, I cracked does he was, she laughed then some old bint climbed into me about being casual racist..I’m like wtf

Okay so I got a response finally: This is it verbatim:

'I asked about the speaker and no one has seen it. The cleaners haven’t seen it, and even if they have they might have thought it was broken and that’s why it was left behind. I can’t return the speakers because I don’t know where they are and I’ve asked about them, there isn’t a lost and found section so when things get left behind it goes in the bin. And I haven’t responded because I’ve been busy with my life and I can’t respond to my work phone when I’m not working.'

Hmmm both times I saw her was over the weekend so she's now changed her working days as well. Convenient. Like her excuses about the room change it doesn't really stack up. she's clearly lying through her teeth.

Am i really meant to buy the fact the cleaners would treat an expensive looking speaker as rubbish to just bin as well... err right...

I accept I have been a dick taking an expensive piece of kit with me - didn't think that I would have been that fazed...
Like most people have said I need to draw a line under this now and move on.

Your speaker is half an hour's work to this woman; you are seriously overestimating the importance of both the item concerned, and indeed yourself, to her. If you really think she's altered her hours of work just to avoid you, I'm afraid you're deluding yourself.

You got done, mate.

Happens or has happened to most of us at some point in time. Sorry for your loss etc, but it doesn’t make you special. It’s probably going to stand you in good stead. After you get over it, and also remember not every prossie is trying to rob you, it will have made you more careful. For life, probably. That’s a gift.

It’s horrible the first time it happens. Next time you’ll just laugh to yourself, either thinking “stupidly tax” or else smiling cos you stopped her ripping you off and shagged her anyway.

Exactly!

What do nicked items go for around pubs?

One third of retail. That’s about £30 to whoever is selling.

Chump fucking change.

It’s such a small time piece of nonsense that the only people who would see the benefit of nicking it are the pathologically criminal who just that help themselves, or a junkie who was seriously clucking for a score bag.

Maybe she pocketed it casually knowing it was the OP’s and decided to hang onto it.

But I’d echo many other people on this thread.

The OP’s shit is his responsibility and taking stuff like this on a punt unless no other option is madness. Even if you are on the way back from work, just keep your shit in your bag!

Otherwise you’re asking for trouble.

Perhaps because this dickhead is repeatedly texting and calling her about a speaker that she did not not bother about at the time because unlike you she attached no value to it.

Seen a prossie a few weeks back who messaged me after Id left and said Id left a tenner too much, I usually only get the exact amount but I needed a couple extra quid this time and went the speedbank and rushed doing the money as I was short on time. Hers in one pocket, mine in the other. I use left pocket for losing and right pocket to retain. (yeah Im getting THAT old ha ha)

I was impressed :)

Offline Marmalade

I remember years ago I’d already given tourist punters each year advice about not carrying loadsa dosh to a punt. So one night I thought fuck it, my last night, a few beers and a shag, can’t be bothered with all the usual shit. Fucked some prossie who insisted on pulling me really close, semi-lit shack. Her mate reached under a dividing door and emptied the wallet in my trousers. I was right pissed off for about half an hour. Then thought, ok so what you gonna do now? I had enough for my bus fare. Credit cards still in the rented apartment. Carry on.

Life is about being practical when some shit hits the fan.

There’s all sorts of ways to get robbed (or just mislay stuff). When it happens enough to hurt a bit you don’t make a similar mistake again. Unless you’re a complete and utter fucking moron. That’s the benefit. Half glass full time (or just keep on whining till everyone else is thoroughly pissed off at you).
