Author Topic: One to avoid - Jodie Marsh On the Game  (Read 1979 times)

No she's not on AW and don't know how many takers she'd get if she was - Jodie Marsh is doing a 'serious' documentary about prostitution. No stereotypes of course - just the usual trafficked crack whores and dirty old men.

Think I'd rather see Liam Neeson's chronic film Taken if I want a serious expose of the worlds oldest profession. Louis Theroux she ain't. So anyone wondering if the offer Nik had recently about doing a documentary would turn out to be the usual hackneyed tabloid TV, or actually tell the truth, read these  pieces to see how these documentaries usually turn out:

And to think - I actually used to think this is what it was really like. I'd run a mile if I ever came across anything remotely like it.

One day someone will have the guts to do a documentary that doesn't just peddle cheap stereotypes and paints a true picture. But then maybe guys complaining they have to trawl through dozens of scam artists on AW just to find a decent punt and working girls complaining about all the time wasters who try to beat a tenner off the price might not make riveting TV.

Well lets face it, a documentary about prostitutes earning +100k per year tax free, owning expensive cars and accruing a small property portfolio might send out the wrong message to Joe Public.

The current lot spout just about as much bollocks and Jodie is (a little) easier on the eye.

Could happen also, now X-Factor and Big Brother have taught the chavs how to vote.

"Two girls told me it was great to be paid for having sex, and they half convinced me for five minutes, but no, there’s nothing empowering about it. As a woman, I believe you have to be emotionally connected to someone to have sex with them. I know it’s different for men. "

"...when I was told they loved having sex with men they’re not attracted to, I found it hard to believe. One girl said: ‘I don’t mind what they look like.’ I was like: ‘Don’t bulls*** me!’’"

Seems like she's done enough research and spoken to enough people to be told that plenty are quite happy doing it, but she just doesn't want to believe them because of her own preconceptions. Seems strange to me that someone who gets their tits out for money would be so judgmental of any relationship between money and sex, but then it's probably the old hierarchy someone pointed out before where the glamour models think they're better than porn stars, porn stars think they're better than strippers, who think they're better than "high class courtesans", who think they're above escorts, etc etc.

It hasn't taught the chavs how to get off their lardy arses and visit a polling station to put a cross in a box next to a name (if they can read the name). Though it's arguable that "real" voting should not need such an antiquated method of recording a vote. Mind you, I'd rather we only counted the votes of those who can be bothered to expend a small amount of effort and ignore the ones who can't be arsed. There are already postal votes and proxy votes for those who want to vote but can't physically get to the polling station so the votes are cast by those who are engaged enough to get out and vote.

[snip]

She's talking bollocks. She should meet some swingers...  plenty of women fucking men with no emotional connection whatsoever.
