I'd looked into a travel lodge but unfortunately it won't fit in with the time window I have.

Time window, surely a travel lodge could be used for the same amount of time as a car meet, you don't have to spend the night in the place.

True, but the window is 10-12 am which complicates things in terms of check in/out

Its not kerb-crawling nor solicitation, having sex (even with a prostitute) in a public place is not illegal in England, no idea in Scotland.
