Hello,

Was wondering if anyone might be able to shed some light on this

A few weeks ago I gave oral to a WG. The week after I developed a slight sore throat and slight difficulty swallowing accompanied by a mild temperature that lasted for a few days. The week following that I developed this 'zingy' kind of sour/metallic taste in my mouth and on my tongue, it feels a bit like when you put a battery in your mouth. I've looked online and it seems as though I could have got oral thrush from the WG or an HPV infection maybe? I just wanted to know if anyone else has ever had anything like this and what they did to go about getting it sorted out?

Thanks in advance

Never had it myself and the reason I never go down on a WG! Regardless of what people say here best to visit a GUM clinic anyway. SHould be details of your local one on the NHS website.

Can I suggest not putting anymore batteries in your mouth, this might help  :unknown:

I do use mouthwash but wasnt aware of the need to do it directly after giving oral to WGs

I know the risk is quite low, but I still prefer to rinse before AND after.

That said, I agree with others saying this is sounds dodgy ... you have a history of posting in STD-related topics, so why have you become clueless all of a sudden and started doing stupid stuff now?

My only other post regarding STDs and oral sex was relating to the Michael Douglas story, I'm not trying to use any scare tactics I just post on topics that interest me or that I'm inquisitive about when they come along. As far as your question, I'm of the opinion that if you stick to the rule always use a condom then you should be fine but now im slightly concerned I may have got a minor STD and just wanted some advice.....please forget I asked

I'm sure others will have their say soon enough, so I'll conclude my bit first. The exact words used were "STD-related topics", which means general STDs & not just those relevant to oral sex in particular.
Therefore, I was given to understand that you would've had a good awareness of various prevention methods apart from just condoms.

Also, I don't know if it's a proven statistic that streetwalkers are in a higher risk category than escorts, in terms of sexual health, but I do think the notion of it should've thrown you off as many have implied.
Edit: If your story is indeed true, then you've already been given all the advice needed from the first reply. Go to your nearest GUM clinic a.s.a.p, and tick the "I think I have STI" checkbox, instead of faffing about here.

I always rinse after, and wouldnt go down on a street girl sorry

Regardless of STD risk, why the fuck would you go down on a street prossie? How are they cleaning themselves between punters?

I agree that the story has a whiff of implausibility to it

Going down on a street girl is just asking for trouble.

You would have known if the lady had thrush and you wouldn't have wanted to go near it. If it indeed was thrush, it would have taken less than a week to show up.

It actually sounds more like oral gonorrhea.

How can you tell, does it smell foul?

Smells yeasty, looks red raw, has cottage cheesy/yoghurty type discharge which can taste bitter.

Not everybody will have the symptoms to the same degree and same severity and, as such, you could easily go down on somebody with thrush and not know about it.

My ex had the occasional yeast infection and sometimes the only sign I could discern was a slight bitter taste.

To say he 'would have known' is wrong in my opinion  :hi:

She might have some wet wipes in her pocket.
