how far would you travel to see a WG?

Yesterday, I travelled to Glasgow see a WG.  From Edinburgh to Glasgow is normally hardly an epic journey, but I picked a wrong day.  The weather took a wrong turn in the afternoon as u can remember, snowing heavily, and my travel back was disturbed.  The act of punting itself was fine, the WG's service was good.  But as I finally came back to town, trudging on the frozen road back home, i was exhausted and depressed and i thought I would never travel more than 10 miles to see a WG.  Never worth it.  How far have you travelled to see a WG?  It is always an anti-climax, isnt it?

The weather was brutal yesterday it took me over 3 hours to get from midlothian to fife. The furthest i have travelled is to glasgow to see a working girl i wouldnt travel much fiurther than that.

Back in the early noughties, I used to travel to Manchester as the parlours there were different class from Glasgow and Edinburgh...also had a few punts in Newcastle & the North East.

These days, the vast majority of my punts are in Glasgow, with a handful per year in Edinburgh. If I saw an advert or review that particularly perked my interest...I suppose I'd be prepared to go anywhere from Ayr to Stirling or the southern half of Fife.

I travelled from Edinburgh to Glasgow a couple of time but gave it up after a WG cancelled on me just as I got there 

These days I'm having second thoughts though as Edinburgh has been quite dry lately

I was considering travelling to newcastle for a dirty weekend getting in 2 or 3 punts but circumstances changed and i cant do that anymore. I travel to edinburgh for punts and glasgow on occasion. Theres nothing worthwhile in fife either.

I remember going to Sandys and World Famous Babes different class in the day for same money as here. I suppose they are gone now.  Nowadays Newcastle seems the place to go.

Winter time, I will punt in my area, of Glasgow, and as you said, the weather took a turn for the worse this week, and there nothing more that make traveling a misery is cold and wet weather

How ever when it comes to the summer, and it very hot for the week, I usually like to get out for the day, and will travel far and wide, and go through to Edinburgh every few weeks

Other areas have travelled to but not yet punted, are Ayr, and surrounding areas,  and have gone as far as Oban and Aberdeen

If wanting to meet escort in one of the above area, will generally book them a few days ahead of my travels, for around 90 min's

Depends how sure I am that it'll be good. I did Glasgow to Edinburgh a few times (one time I missed the last train and bus home, so had to book into a hotel and get the first train back in the morning for work - the WG later said I could have just slept at hers. FFS...) Also did Aberdeen to Dundee once, for someone I'd seen a couple of times and kept missing when she was back in Aberdeen. And I did Aberdeen to Glasgow once, for the same girl - she'd been away for ages and I wasn't doing anything else that day, so I wasn't going to pass up the chance. Totally worth it.

If travel time is under an hour (e.g. Glasgow - Edinburgh), I don't mind taking a wee bit of a risk.
If travel time is between an hour to an hour and a half (e.g. Aberdeen - Dundee, Glasgow - Perth etc), I'd want to be reasonably sure they'd be good (unless the talent at home is just utterly non-existent).
Any longer than that and you're basically writing off a big chunk of your day just for travelling, so I'd want to know for a fact it'll be worth it. Doubt I'd do it unless I'd seen them before.

There are perhaps two WGs I would happily travel to a different country to see. Probably to a different continent for one of them. Oh for the opportunity...

Living in Fife, I've really got no option but to travel. Luckily i'm near the motorway, so Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth aren't too far time wise. But i wouldn't travel an hour for a quickie or even a 30min visit.

I live in Ayrshire(which is admittedly quite slim pickings normally), every booking I've ever made has been at least 10/15 miles away to avoid accidental meetings (Basically, don't jizz where you eat)
Most punts have been Glasgow, I have had punts in London and Edinburgh but that's when I've been when there on holiday rather than travelling that far for the purpose of a punt.

I don’t like travelling for punting. I like punting to be available in places I choose to travel to (and the availability will be a factor).  In Edinburgh, I like maximum 10-15 mins walk or max £5 taxi.

Not quite as far as Latvia.......A while back, day trip Glasgow to London to see a semi regular for a 3 hour meet before she departed the scene.  When I told her the time of my return flight she gave me an extra hour on the house, well worth the trip.
I put the airport parking, flight, hex & taxi receipts through my exp (was about £250), lucky no one in account queried.

Id think nothing of hoping in the car and heading away. Its part of the thrill for me. Regularly see sugarbabes in North of England. Furthest punt was in Cambridge. She cancelled so i desperately got a replacement for couple hours. Best looking teen ive met. mediocre punt. Best punt was in Manchester with Neve Candi many years ago before she got ugly.
