Thanks, Maybe I got unlucky at the time of day I went by, because the day before I didn't see anyone shooting up, but there were 1 or 2 dodgy looking individuals.

Indeed its true Athens in general felt relatively safe atmosphere wise, but the heavy graffiti everywhere, along with derelict and run down buildings do set the scene abit if you're easily spooked, not to mention in the night a lot of Athens streets are very very poorly lit or have no lighting at all, perfect for crime you'd think, But again.. It’s good to hear some praise of pump n dump! In relation to your ‘bearings’, Athens has quite a good transport system. You can take Line 2 from Neos Kosmos Metro all the way to Victoria, which a few yards from the main quickies RLD,  Filis Street onwards. Replying to one or two things on the thread...

The bargain for Athens is easily the white lights, 10 or 20 E. In reply to Pumps point about not removing all their clothes my experience has been different as I can't offhand remember any that didn't, maybe one or two, but maybe you have to ask. Strip clubs in Athens are not exactly a bargain, In Crete (Chania) it has been possible (it may have changed post pandemic) to time it, go to a local strip club as it opens and after a good fingerful walk briskly to the white lights (The clubs open late and most of the small area of white lights shut shortly afterwards). Athens however is a different story. The clubs are not located close to either of the principal white light areas. They also don't open until very late, so if you find/get (haggle) a taxi afterwards to the white lights you may find the mood has gone for hunting through what is available (all Athens white lights are sort of 24hr, the crop is from late morning to late evening).

The other experience is the studios and the better ones are on a par with the better AW experiences and cheaper. The reason not many people use them is that they tend to move address and there can also be a fierce battle to get the price down to local price if you can't pass as local. Check bourdela.com and other websites for details and reviews and, as many are not very central, check the review date and that they're open. Finally a hassle-free option is massage parlours. Not all offer full service but a lot do. Quality varies from fairly good to a bit iffy but they are a relaxed standby, inexpensive, and there's one or two within filis walking distance. Regarding safety, I don't agree that Metaxourgeio is dangerous, it just looks it. This is clearly just from one experience, but my impression is that you would be better looking elsewhere if you want that kind of scene.

My info is a year(ish) old, but I would not assume that the strip clubs are a try before you buy arrangement. I went there on business once and visited a couple of strip clubs. Indeed the Athens strip clubs are a bit shite. Not central and overpriced for shag or things inbetween. If you like such stuff, Chania (Crete) is slightly better as there’s a strip club that, although pricey for a shag, is pleasant enough for a grope on the way to the short strip of walkups (There’s another one nearby down a side street and slightly further away that’s a bit more pushy, so go for the first one.) I haven’t been to Athens since the pandemic so can’t say about opening. Suggest check on ISG or External Link/Members Only timetables and recent reviews if there’s nothing on UKP search.

I have only arrived so this was more of a reconnaissance report. Headed to metaxourgio and had a wander around in the day. Saw many white lights and to be honest was a little nervous to enter in the day time, but once I broke my duck I felt very confident entering having a look and leaving. Glydada is indeed a nice place though I’ve not noticed any p4p on tap there either. Good for a day or night out, upmarket and nice restaurants, beaches, nice contrast to the city (though I imagine it’s probably packed to the hilt at this time of year). Nicest way to get there is by trolley-bus/tram with your travel card, which lets you avoid the shipping hub and main coastal connection of Piraeus. Travelling around outside of Athens can be challenging if you don’t have any Greek, but the whole of that particular coast has easy-peasy transport being the Athens ‘riviera’. For punting though I’d forget it.

Regarding the poster’s point about lowlife shooting up, there’s very few downtown places I’ve seen that are that offputting, though a few appear so until you get used to them. The street parallel to the main road between Metaxourgio and Omonia, on the north side, is one. Omonia of course is known for petty theft, bag snatching and stuff but it’s ok if you’re sensible. The SWs are unappealing. White light places are ok, Metaxourgio or Filis, or you can use the web to find decent active studios or independents. Be aware of cons (mostly white European scumbag grifters) who ask you for ‘assistance’ on one or two metro places. The method is to appeal to your good nature, usually for directions, then, if you pause, you may be suddenly surrounded by a group who will rob you as you to get off. Greeks, on the other hand, are mostly decent people. If you are staying in Metaxourgio you can also enjoy an easy walk from the white light side (away from Omonia) to Kerameikos which is a trendy nightlife and restaurant area.

Don’t forget to do some normal sightseeing. Acropolis is best if you get in at opening time. Also, a walking tour tracing a circle around the Acropolis hill introduces you to many contrasting downtown areas — upmarket shopping, markets, night clubs, historical places, street music, places to exercise or climb for a view of the city, relaxed open air places for cocktails, secluded restaurants. Enjoy.

Glyfada never gets packed to the hilt, and never had a problem getting into my favorite places at any time of year, It can get busy on weekend evenings but still comfortable.
No more expensive than anywhere else, took Greek friends to the best in town, they were amazed after saying come to Athens it is cheaper. I drive but have used the public transport system, not so difficult even with no Greek, just point at the machine and a friendly local will help.
I much prefer staying there, it is 24hr for many things catering wise, coffee and cake in the early hours goes down well.

I was there a few weeks ago.  First of all thanks to those that posted on Athens from previous trips and years.  I was a first time traveller to Athens and having googled incalls with WG, it became obvious this would be difficult.

Fylis Street 

My interest peaked in Fylis street and at €20 a pop, it was worth a trip. 

First of all; you need to go into these places with your eyes wide open i.e. don’t expect crazy amounts of service provision for the price. It’s all ow, no french kissing, no ro.  On all occasions to these places I carried cash, no valuables, only my train ticket and phone. Area on the way to Fylis street can seem rough as lots of refugees loitering around but given it was summer it was still bright at 8pm.  I wouldn’t want to be there past 9pm but that’s just my opinion. I had google street viewed these places so I wouldn’t stand out like a sore thumb beforehand.  

I arrived at Larissa station.  Directly opposite is Filafedias Street.  Carry on straight up the road for about 10 min walk and on the 5th or 6th left turn is Fylis Street.  I memorised the path as I didn’t want to give the game away I was a punter. Once on Fylis Street, I saw some homeless guys on the left hand side of the street making a nuisance but just walked straight pass them.  Half way down the road, on the right is a purple door with a white light above it. Means in business.  Very discreet, prefer this over a red light.  For those of you googling it - try 40's Fylis Street.

Once inside I see strobe light and a few sofas.  Nobody was there and I waited for a few mins.  A tall brunette who is one of the sexiest women I’ve seen in the flesh appears from behind a curtain. Looks a bit like the pornstar Audrey Bitoni. Early 20’s, tanned Brunette, 5’8 or so in heels, black secretarial glasses,  in a matching black thong and bra with perfect breasts and curved hourglass body. Get off at Metaxourgio metro station, the red line is similar to our Central line.  

At the big roundabout, look for the hotel chain Wyndhams.  I forgot the name of the street they are on but past their entrance and first left on to Kolonou.  

When I got there, I noticed white lights on both sides of the street.  I try the ones on the right. Two doors inside the first place.  First place is busy.  Next door the woman is rougher.  I’m not interested and I leave.  Second premises I walk in and nobody there and am impatient so I leave.

Further up the road more white lights three on the left. Opposite a cafe but I walk in like a natural. Enter the first and walk up stairs.  Strobe lights, sofas, same set up like Fylis. Tall Bob cut haired buxom beauty appears and talks to me in Greek. 5’9 or 6’0 early 40s but in great shape. White thong and bra, hoop earrings. No fat on her. I say English and she says service €10.   No small talk. The fact that places like this exist where you can get yourself serviced for less than the cost of two pints of beer in the U.K is phenomenal.  Don’t go expecting chemistry or anything beyond the most basic of a covered service and you won’t be disappointed.   You’ll have around 10-15 minutes before their maid knocks on the door and you need to be done by.   I didn't have sex in any of these places but probably should have gone back to Fylis Street.   Kolonou just is more convenient due to the sheer number of properties and thereby increasing your change of some success.

In addition to the above, I saw two Romanians from Kolonou who were very disappointing but both times I was thinking with my dick.  The rest of the time I was there I saw a Russian woman 4 times. Big Blonde unit with nice D cup tits.   I could have seen others but after the disaster with the two Romanians I wanted consistent good service for the remainder of the time I was there. She’s the only one that gave OWO and would finish me to completion even if the maid knocked on the door.  

Like most things compared to Europe, we overpay for the most basic of things. Food, WG’s, drinks - you’d rather save your money and make a trip a few times a year to fill your boots. Kolonou Street and the surrounding streets are filled with about 30-40 properties with white lights indicating they are in business.  The best bit of advice for these places is to go during the day and avoid weekends.  After 5, they are filled with Wolt Scooter Drivers (their version of Uber Eats) trying to get a quick release on their shifts or men visiting after work.  During the day around 3ish is the best time I found as that is when most of them open.

Near Fylis there are other roads with a number of white lights- Anarchon and Didimou are a couple from memory
