I write with sympathy and empathy - and with plenty of self awareness. Today's piece was written in homage and respect to those victims - you can interpret it how you want my friend. But it was my intention to bring part of our recent history to life as I was in Birmingham and visiting the cathedral.

I'm wasting my time though with you as you are never going to get it are you ? I can see by your posts and language this is all well above your head. Some might describe you as dim wit who goes crying to Admin.

Try reading some of my other reviews - read A Generation of Children. Let me know what you think to that. Read The Sacrement of Penance as well whilst your at it.

Thanks for posting that link - I could never quite fathom out the video though. I think the song is about a war story where the narrator is in battle - and the thing that keeps him going amidst all the destruction and carnage is the thought of his girl and her brown eyes. Maybe that is correct.

When I was younger I used to think it was literally about the Bombings in Birmingham at the Mulberry Bush and Tavern in the Town - that a victim had lost their eyesight. Even when I listen to the song now I cannot get that picture of the inside of the pub out if my mind - it is haunting.

I once met Shane McGowan at the 100 Club at a Clash gig - I was playing in a Nottingham band at the time. I talked to him as he had similar Republican background and beliefs.

I am truly sorry to see that you have gotten so agitated and upset by my reviews. Have you tried reading some of the others - you may change your mind. I would recommend A Generation of Children or The Cluj Vampire - they are classics my friend.

Whilst not denying that they are written in an entertaining manner and all the other platitudes that are heaped upon them every time by your fan club, I am in agreement with the posters who do not think they belong in the review section. They are far closer to fiction than fact, they are creative literature. Too confusing and arbitrary for readers who simply want a review to give an idea of whether they want to book a prossie or not. They are a journey through your own mind.

You clearly thrive on the adulation so why not showcase your talent before a broader and larger audience, Facebook, Twitter, or somewhere arty?

I doubt any reports or complaints would have happened were these pieces of art posted in the general section without links or prossie names included. They are a good read, but of no practical value, and ultimately the review section exists for its practical value.

I'm a libertarian me and I believe in all that stuff about freedom of speech, autonomy, freedom to choose, personal responsibility etc - people can have opinions and I will support them and encourage to do just that. I don't try and justify the pieces I write. They stand on their own and are what they are - some will find them interesting and others will dislike the content and style and actually detest them etc. Not a problem - I don't need to worry of concern my self about that. I would encourage and support Placebo in his views and they are all cool and valid. He sounds like a genuine guy and his points are all well made.

I really enjoyed reading that - I'll be reading your other stuff. I don't usually read reviews out of my area of interest, but I think you write very well, and I like reading, regardless of the subject matter.

As for whether the review is useful/appropriate, that's for everyone to decide for themselves obviously. Personally, I found it painted a pretty interesting picture of the punt. Maybe not much use for those looking just for the bare facts, but there are plenty of those style reviews here thankfully!
