Wonder if you can get a discount at the end of the month when the rent is due??
And what about end-Jan and end-Jul when tax bills are to be paid?
They might
offer but generally I find it's wasted time to
ask. Just that it runs counter to the usual way of business in this country so you are immediately at a disadvantage. I have only bargained successfully on a couple of occasions in the UK (And I'm quite a good bargainer btw).
If I plan to write a good FR, I sometimes bring it up, saying I don't want to 'push so much business her way'* (with the FR) that I can't afford her when she inevitably puts her prices up. She may (and often has) say that they 'won't go up for you'. Reverse bids are another exception. But of course a lot of prossies would rather starve / go on the social than sell their fannies for less than they think they're worth.
Having said that, some do get a reality check. Start off advertising at double average rates cos they have a pretty face and are used to being able to grab any guy in a room. A month later, they realise it is business and advertise a price accordingly that people will pay.
Many prossies seem to think that for men (never for women lol) that if a guy fancies her, the next question is how much does he fancy her and therefore feel willing to pay. I fancied the hoots off a hotel receptionist recently and spent an hour chatting without going for the close. A few weeks later I find she does part-time escorting, unlisted. Naturally I booked her. She was nice. But I felt like saying to her that I fancied her
as an escort to the tune of £90 - with a possible (but not guaranteed) repeat some time in the future. Had I dated her, I would have felt like spending a lot more time and attention and money. As would she would (I hope). There's a big difference between a five star coq-au-vin that you or your g/f or chef friend cooks or which you eat at Harvey Nicks:
and the same piece of chicken served as fast food deep fried from the chippie. No offence to the chicken.
*Serious players will appreciate the value of phrasing and intonation with such words - this stuff applies more to non-pro interaction of course, but seductive chat makes prossies feel good and amenable sometimes too!
