Music while you punt

OK, only had two punts so far but both ladies had music playing while I punted and it was very nice.  I suppose it helps them keep track of time without being obvious clockwatchers, and also helps cover any potentially awkward silences.  Do you find there is generally music playing when you punt?  Do you like it?  And if so what kind of music do you prefer?

Another advantage of outcalls at my place - I get to choose the music.

Music is mandatory for me while I'm punting - but I make sure it isn't intrusive, just pleasant background 'wallpaper' type music. I go for down tempo trip-hop ambient trance like the Bristol scene from the late 90s, and Nu-Jazz from the same era. Hmm - sounds like I'm in a time warp.

Good choice though.  I've actually thought some more and wondered if your taste could vary according to the lady you're seeing.  My first one was a real rock/biker chick and a bit of Led Zep or Hawkwind wouldn't have gone amiss for me.  The second was much more ethereal and would perhaps have suited some acid folk a bit better

I use mine as a mood setter and also as a way to block out any sounds escaping. I have good windows but still.

But yes music is good. And as it's my place it's my playlist. I have a nice mix of of hip hop instrumentals and electronica. and a bit of alternative rock thrown in.

I once went to a parlour where as part of the punt the WG played 'Hips Don't Lie' to accompany a lap dance she gave me at the start of the punt. When I hear that song now I get visions of her arse grinding away.

Often I find it is R&B or slower music playing by WG's, almost to partially mask any noise but not drown it out.

The best thing I can hear on a punt is the lady's syncopated breathing. The downside is I have been subjected to commercial radio and shit music like Jesse J - I don't care if it is used as a timer or to stop Mr and Mrs Sedgwick next door hearing, shit music is off-putting and goes some way towards ruining a punt.

Interesting replies.  As I say I enjoyed the music, but they both obviously used playlists, which probably helps them with their timing of the session.  Don't think it would have served as masking the more "natural" sounds though as both ladies had the windows open, and the first one was extremely vocal.  Don't think it was because I'm the world's greatest lover sadly, I think she was just trying to encourage me!

I can give or take Music during a Punt, on the punts I've had where there has been Music on, it's usually chart stuff (not my cup of tea) but isn't on loud so I've never found it to bug me and usually forget that it's on.

Would be nice to have a punt where there is some decent Rock and Metal music on in the background for a change one time.

Going to add "turn off the music" as part of my escort checklist. 

When I punt usually the escort has a beat up old portable CD player which either has Whitney Houston's greatest hits playing, Kiss FM with Nicki Minaj or a generic love song compilation CD that came free with Woman's Own magazine.

A couple of punts I have been to recently the Radio has been way too loud, and because the room was softly lit, I couldn't find the volume control to at least turn it down while she had left the room......ended changing channels instead, which was worse cos it wasn't tuned properly and was making an awful hissing sound and still too fucking loud!!! 
A  nightmare start, just when you are trying to relax after the hit and miss of finding the location on time...and the anticipation of what is to cum.......aarrrggghhh!

Music on an iPhone/iPad is okay if subtle and moderate volume (fuck....I am getting old aren't I?...) but a Radio is a no no, particularly shit local radio with awful jingles, competitions, sound effects, traffic bulletins, news, worse still local news, and past it presenters....
....and Relax!

One major reason for an outcall is the ability to choose the playlist. One of my favorite punts was a Japanese chic who came over to my place and the moment I came she was on top and a track by Mogwai was on which added a whole level of sohpistication to the occasion.

Seriously, of the four WGs I've seen twice each (not including the rip-off Romanian), two had pop music on during the sessions - but I can honestly say I've completely switched off from it so much that I doubt it was even on at all, but it must have been.  Just shows how your mind can play tricks on you, I'm so aware of noise that I sleep with a fan on next to my head, but sometimes after I get up I'm not "aware" the fan is still on for 30 mins or so.

I think Ravel's Bolero is the archetypal music to have sex to ... ?

Couldn't agree more... Always a bad omen for me when I turn up and the girl insists on playing music, makes me think her focus is elsewhere and it usually is. Some of my shittest punts have been accompanied by the sound of shit music. One even playing directly from a mobile phone so doubly shit cos of the sound quality!

Back before my accident, a WG asked if i wanted any music. SHe said she didn't have much so i could bring my own cd's.
I had a portable digital player and decided to put selection on so when i visited her, i could plug it in.....

At the MOST appropriate moment, a particular song came on.....
I enjoy RO, and i was a few moments in to it when she realised the song and started laughing.... as did i, luckily!!!!

However, it was one of the best punts i ever had to date, and became a bit of a theme tune! LoL
