Is this a scam?

So I’m pretty new to this game and I was flicking through Backpages for a gander and liked the look of this blond piece who I then emailed - as per instructions. After a couple of emails back and fore, she asked me for a deposit of £70 to secure my booking!
Now I may be a relative punting virgin but I’ve been around the block a few times so obviously sent her a sarcastic reply to the effect of ....... ‘urr no!’
She actually wanted me to do a bank transfer FFS.
Scam or not?

The vast majority of girls do not ask for a deposit. So whether it is a scam or not is irrelevant. Just forget it.   

I find it hard th check on the girls in back pages so I would not use that medium as a source of introduction.
