I suspect I am not the only ones who gets annoyed with the monthly/weekly/daily new threads about how edinburgh saunas work, how much does it cost, will I get my cock sucks,  do I need to be naked, do I wear my towel on my head like a turban etc

I wondered if we could ask Admin to put up a pinned thread with as a starter for 10 something along the following lines more than happy for folk to chip in with suggestions, changes, omissions etc.

Ohh and appologies to non Edinburgh punters, get your own whore houses 

Saunas in Edinburgh operate pretty much the same to each other.  Upon entry you pay your for how long you would like to spend in the room with the lady(30/45/60 minutes).  Prices are on the door upon entry as of 2017 these were roughly 20/25/30 though vary slightly between establishments.  Your time starts once you are in the room with the lady not when you walk through the door.  Payment to the girl for services comes later.

 

Once paid you can either have a shower and lock your valuables away or can choose to shower in the room though be aware this eats into your shagging time. Once showered wrap a towel round yourself and head through to the lounge (or straight away if not showering).

 

Hint: choosing not to shower is generally not a good idea as the lady will probably make you shower in the room or be a moody cow about your smelly cock.

 

Some regulars leave there wallet in the locker and pay the girl afterwards though i wouldn’t suggest this as first timers are often asked to pay before any action in the room.

 

Once in the lounge the first thing to do is relax everyone is there for the same thing.  Also don’t feel pressured into choosing a lady immediately grab a coffee or soft drink sit back and take your time.  There is no point in listing which girls to choose here as they change frequently and good girls go bad and bad girls leave or learn the ropes. 

The ladies should introduce themselves and tell you who else is available and if any ladies are already booked.  If the idea of sitting in a room with a bunch of scantily clad hooker's and other punters clad in only a towel doesn't work for you i would probably stick with incalls.

Booking: You can always book a girl in advance or once you are there.  Just tell the doorman who you want and when and they will either confirm or let you know when they are available.
 
Hint: : Current rule of thumb is moody in the lounge moody in the room and pretty and sitting there like god’s gift nightmare in the room.  There are always exceptions and this is why reviews are essential.

Once you have picked your chosen lady let her know ad she will let the doorman know and guide you off to the room.  Once in the cabin you can confirm prices though generally this is £50/£60/£70 for 30/45/60 minutes (as of 2017) this is for kissing (if offered) oral, full sex and come once.  Other things come as extra depending on the establishment and girl,  ranging from £10 to cum again to £30-50 for anal.  As such its always good to have a little extra reserve cash in case the mood takes you in a specific direction.

 

Once you have done what you came for pay the lady the correct amount, try to have a couple of £10 and £5 as a  newbie they may try to scam you with “I don’t have change”.  They do have change or can get it from the doorman so don’t get short changed.

 

Once you have done what you came for and paid the lady head back upstairs get changed (grab another coffee if you want) and head back out into the world hopefully with a spring in your step and your sauna duck broken.

 

Ohh and for the love of God write a fucking review about it don’t be a bloody leecher.

 

 

Individual Saunas Idiosyncrasies

 

Blair Street Sauna (BSS)

 

Smaller lounge and girls can be a bit intimidating in the lunge with a just hurry up and pick vibe.  Rule is that when a customer is present the girls can’t leave the lounge so can’t eat/smoke/chill out.  If the death stares get to much my suggestion is to head into the sauna beside the waiting room and relax there for a while.

 

You pay your door fee before seeing the girls and there are no refunds if you don’t pick anyone.  If in rush check with the doorman what the current availability is like as can occasionally be fully booked for half an hour or so.

 

2017 info – currently the default option in BSS is OWO its ladies are a mix of Scottish and European but you really need to read reviews.

 

London Street Sauna

 

Lounge is the most comfortable of the saunas and generally has a relaxed atmosphere.  When you enter you enter into the lounge and can have a quick gander at the ladies sitting about.  If you say it is your first time you will be given a quick tour by one of the ladies who will explain most of what I have written above.

 

2017 info -  default option here is different from the other saunas with cover oral the norm.  General opinion is that currently LSS has the best looking ladies but also the worst performing with poor performers not being moved on or asked to buck up.  As always read reviews.

 

New Town Sauna

 

Basically the same rules as BSS though a bit more relaxed in the lounge.

 

2017 info – currently dying a slow unfortunate death not sure why but for up to date guess what “read reviews”.

A dive has the odd star but due to the sheets last being washed in 2006 and the shower been broken for longer only really worth going if you like to watch a mahogany hugh hefner wanabie (the owner/doorman) hold court amoungst a bunch of haggard whores or have recent info from review on a lost gem.

The sauna/steam room in the Newtown (NTS) seats one person comfortably, two would be a crowd. There's a choice of aromatic oils to pour in the water which you ladle onto the coal-effect hot plate when you wish.

The sauna at Scorpio hasn't worked for some time.

I think what TKovac wrote about on sauna’s was excellent and very useful.
I have never been in a sauna where there are Escorts so that is why I asked such questions ...moronic questions to some experienced users but in all honesty not to me.
I have frequented saunas at my health club ...mixed ..so one has to wear swimming trunks.
I asked these questions in good faith and certainly did not expect such an abusive answer, it does not cost anything to be civil but there again those members with over inflated egos can’t help being ignorant.

About ten years ago I was in Scorpio’s when it had a visit from two plain clothes coppers. First thing they made clear was that they weren’t interested in me, they were just checking nobody working was under age or potentially being trafficked. After I recovered I actually thought it was pretty reassuring and a grown up way of dealing with the issue. Most of us use the appropriate abbreviations BSS NTs LSs ir scorpio so really just a mater of a quick use of the advanced search option and away you go

Tldr I vote maintain status quo
