No, it's still pretty useless. I still have no idea how old she is (just asking the receptionist is not an accurate way of finding out, I'd prefer to hear it from a punter) or why she's "smoking hot" (face, tits, arse, size, what?) nor do I know why she's fantastic in the room. Neither do I know the services he received, for example I often like DFK, others may want CIM etc (again, just asking reception isn't reliable although to be fair I've never found them to be particularly inaccurate in that regard). The whole point of this site is to reveal the nitty gritty.

It's not just about the money, it's mainly about the travelling and possibly waiting time (even if I book, which I usually do). I don't want to turn up and find she's too old, not actually good looking in my book (due to a specific feature) or that she doesn't provide a service that I want (or not very well).

This has been my experience since the change of ownership a few years ago. The new owner is the best thing about the place (wouldn't mind a rumble in the jungle with her) but a lot of the girls who work there now would not, for example, get a job at Sandys if it was still going. Going to Sheridans is the next rung on the ladder from visiting a street girl in my view. The next rung up from Sherdians would be Cosmopolitan or Ladybirds, then another rung up to La Maison, etc.

No parlour really matched up to the quality of girls on offer that Sandys has, but that's ridiculous to say Sheridans is one step up from street girls. It's at least as good as Cosmopolitan, TheGeorgian, and Roses, and just a notch below La Maison.
It's better in terms of value for money because Nicola runs a tight ship and listens to her customers. Girls make less money per customer, but make up for it easily with the number of customers, and they have to give a good service otherwise Nicola responds to feedback.

In terms of the girls there I would say:

Daisy - gorgeous little darling, great service
Kimberley - gorgeous, okay service
Charlie -  very attractive, great service, slightly rushed (only very slightly)
Louise - Sandys standard (not as much make up though) and amazing service
Dionne looks great, not seen her, but will do
 
Alice - looks good, her service was too quirky for me though. just too matter of fact as if explaining how to do knitting, not my cup of tea, I need dirty talk
Jamie - great girl, great service, great tits, very good looking (almost Sandys level)

Below the standard? Probably say Gemini, Silks, Silver Lady, Lady Jane's, Scarletts, Incalls38 and maybe Baileys (poor organisation and girls not coming in for shifts). Also maybe Piccadily Selecta, but they are a very specific type of parlour.

It's a factor: the squalidity of the experience. In Sheridans there is no soundproofing. how many punters shower before being serviced? not all the rooms have showers. Etc.

Are all the other parlours you mention still open?

There is one parlour that is perhaps a rung below and that's Arabesque. I'd forgotten about that. Not been for a dozen years or more so no idea what it's like now.
