How do you go about going to one of these. Does it have to be at your doctors or are there facilities that offer this. I'm from Pontypridd area. I just don't want to go to my doctors. Do any have a address or phone contact.

I use the GUM Clinic at the Royal Gwent, I find it easier than the one at the CRI.

The GUM Clinic is at the CRI on Newport Road. The service is not great, you have to call to get an appointment which is usually a week later and you won't get the results for upto 3 weeks although they say if there's a problem they will contact you sooner.  There are private clinics which can give you results within a few days or sooner but costs are upwards of £200.

You could order a testing kit from online. It's really easy to follow instructions and you get results via email in or just after 24hrs.

Forgot to mention OP,  if you are symptomatic (tather than just looking for a checkup) they should see you on the day  in one of the walk in sessions,  and if the results are presumptively positive you should get treatment there and then.

There is a walk in sexual health clinic in the Dewi Sant Hospital, in Pontypridd.

CASH = contraception and sexual health

GUM = genitourinary medicine

YAS = Youth Advisory Service

Yeah that's her. She's been around a while and had no negatives reports so I feel bad about putting this up but people just need to be careful. Got to realize , most girls I've seen , say  for e.g. when on top and d f k'ing  and you are inbeteen there legs with in foreplay mode with no condom on you could easily just take advantage,  but trust has to be there, thay trust us to not take advantage ,  I don't and most don't I presume, she may have just be trying to give you a good time with out penetrating her, but only you will know what you felt and experienced,  hopefully just crossed wires .

You can go to GUM at Royal Glamorgan as a walk in, so prob more convenient than CRI, but I found the attitude much better at Newport. You don't have to go to your own area, they will ask you for a postcode but I think it's for recharging your area. You can give a false one, but they seem happy with a partial one (eg CF43).

Hi as I am the OP I can understand the reservations with my low post count but I originally posted just about clinics not the girl.
