During the week saw that Phoebe was 'available today' on AW and called and arranged a booking for a few hours later that day.

Got to the street, on time, and called as per instructions - no answer. Tried again a few minutes later - again no answer. Her phone does not have voicemail but I have sent a text - though her profile says she doesn't reply to texts. Which she has thus far lived upto.

Quite disappointed as have received absolutely no explanation due to no communication from Phoebe. Granted her AW profile was updated to say that she had a last minute emergency but this doesn't explain the continued lack of response from her.

Obviously we don't know the nature or veracity of the "emergency", but smart phone technology and the ability to send a text, e-mail, etc in seconds means that this behaviour is unacceptable. I also recall that when Phoebe was on UKE she was explicitly critical of such behaviour from punters, and we don't like double standards.

Nothing, though I have stopped trying - otherwise I'd cross the line into 'omg this guy is a stalker' territory.
To sum up- called her on day to arrange booking - she sounded fine etc, got to the street a few hours later and called, on time. No answer. Tried again a few minutes later, no answer.
Sent a text when I was on my way home. And I think I called once or twice more over the next couple of days before writing the review. Again no answer, and no voicemail facility.

Now, on her profile it does say that no AW feedback means no meet, but she did ask me when I called if I had an AW profile and I said no, and she was still fine with the booking going ahead. (I've actually deleted my AW profile as I made the mistake of leaving someone negative feedback on AW.) But that means I'm not going to create a new profile just to send an email to her.

Now I remember her profile was active after the meet was meant to happen saying something about an emergency and not being able to get to her phone at the time. And that's just about understandable - but responding to a text shouldn't be a big deal or if she saw the missed calls from my number perhaps just sending a discreet text saying 'I was busy, free now, please call me back'.

All in all it was a good old waste of an afternoon.

I tried to arrange a booking a few times before she "retired", and she was always pretty slippery about when she was free, would never give out her phone number which would have made things easier.
When i did actually manage to make a booking she cancelled on me twice. Once for a "migraine", and then because she "dropped hot food on her foot and burnt it"!... Creative, i'll give her that, but i never bothered trying again.
Oh, and i do have a few positive AW FB.

You'll probably have better luck if you do have an AW profile with decent feedback - she might not mess you around then. Having seen some of the videos she's done before I kinda still want to see her despite being messed around myself. But she is definitely at the back of the queue.

Based on this review and the comments on it by other members I wouldn't chance a drive from Birmingham to meet her matey, unless you had a strong plan b in place.

That was my initial thoughts, but i always wanted to be balls deep in her efore she retired. If i was planning on comming there would be a need to possibly have a plan z in place

I needed to message you, to point out that my so called 'colourful excuses' were all too real. See attached picture of my second degree burn scars. If that isn't enough proof I'm sure I can get the hospital records from that date.

I don't remember the booking I had with you as I was a bit busy screaming in agony. But I do genuinely apologise that you were inconvenienced.

Hmmm. I've met Phoebe. She's a very intelligent young woman and will be aware that her explanation has some notable omissions and inconsistencies. However, she has made a decent offer of reparation.

Others may take a different view, but my priority is with Jack as a fellow punter and OP. I'm disinclined to potentially impede his chances of receiving his compensation. I also think that this is a good example of how UKP can lead to practical resolution of issues, in addition to information-sharing and being a place to express disappointment and frustration.

+1, after all this is a site for punters. The main purpose of this site is so that us guys can talk, moan, bitch, cry or get all fluffy over a punt with a wg. As pictisnum said the issue has been resolved and jacknotts is happier now than when he wrote this review, credit to phoebe for comming on here and making it upto jacknotts. I for one am impressed with the way it was handled

The deal is struck and Jack gets a 50% discount and by the sound of it had a good time, and Phoebe also has a positive outcome in terms of damage limitation (unless anyone actually believes it was an act of altruism). Phoebe (aware that punters will be openly critical) also hopefully takes action to ensure that similar problems are avoided in future.

Didn't aim for vague, just didn't bother writing an essay. Yes perhaps you wanted more detail about x,y,z but I just wrote about what I thought was noteworthy (to me). I haven't written long winded reviews before so nothing new here.

Perhaps you are correct - but then a headline of a negative wouldn't be a fair reflection on my feelings of the overall outcome. Given that each meet was a week apart, I just went with a new review. Both reviews are clearly linked to the AW account so that's about it. Given that this is the internet, I'm certain that had I not written a review and just done as you suggest, someone would have said to write a review. Damned if I do, damned if I don't.

Having not read your 2nd review i cant comment on the "quality" if your review, but if you look at it from a view of a punter you can see why some would judge it in that manner, and question if you where goaded, coaxed or given subtle hints towards leaving  a positive review.
As for merging both into a positive review, in my view thats a big no no. Had that been your initial thought you should have just added onto this teview by saying your second meet went ahead and you enjoyed it. Ijs

You obviously have some weird personal issue with Jack. The rest of us are perfectly happy. He had a bad punt. Phoebe tried to rectify the situation and he wrote another review to set the record straight.
At least he has written reviews, unlike others who come on here complaining about everyone else and how they write reviews without writing any themselves.

I think the follow up positive review was poor judgement and lacked credibility. I don't see what upset you so much with this negative. He was stood up, so left a negative to report it. Nothing wrong with that at all. The only offended snowflake I am seeing is you, calm down.
