Author Topic: Phone numbers on positive reviews in case AdultWork is down?  (Read 2327 times)

How about putting a contact phone number down on positive reviews so that when AW is down, as it regularly is, we have a way of getting in touch?

I think many of us are reluctant to store escorts numbers on our phones, even the hidden ones!

I know I am.

Theres PMs for that. I store all numbers of worthy punts Ive had.

I can't see any problem with that but it shouldn't be made compulsory ----------- as with auto-censored.   :hi:

The problem is its too hard to police incase someone comes along and chucks anyone's number up there claiming to be a positive review and then people phone them from that UKP review. Remember the sisterhood are scumbaggish and would try stuff like that to discredit this forum.

And another thing a girl may give her one favourite give her personal number in private that she never expects to be made public which he then unwittingly puts up in public not knowing it was meant only for him.

The whole posting phone numbers thing has been my number one gripe about Saafe and them doing it on their time wasters section.

I personally don't think it should be allowed on open forums for the two reasons above as its too risky.

Great that you and some other punters store numbers, but some of us have inquisitive wives and partners.  However, you may not be logged in, or log in infrequently, or we may not have time to trawl through the lists of which girls you have seen and positively reviewd and might have numbers for.

Of course this would be an optional idea, but if punters have the time to copy and paste the AW links, then it would be straightforward to copy the number as well, alongside the other useful info about the punt, location, services etc.

Just a thought.

The best solution would be for AW to get its IT act together and avoid being attacked. That must be possible if they invest enough of their ill-gotten gains.

There would be no guarantee it was a current number. Some girls change their numbers more frequently than their <complete joke here>.

The only problem is that in "times of trouble" with AW down and the rent due, slappers will be even more tempted to post fake reviews about themselves, or ask their pussy-whipped fluff-ball fans to do so. Which would mean UKP would end up advertising the lowest trash and not much better than Pro$$ienet.

Apart from that it seems fine when they are genuine reviews from discerning punters that don't 5-star everything with fanny flaps, that the girl herself has published her phone number publicly at least once, and the reviewer wants to rather than feeling bludgeoned into it ...

But I'd hardly encourage it strongly as it doesn't teach punters to be self sufficient. There's any number of ways to protect your privacy or devices to make data private and invisible to snoopers on your mobile phone. I think UKP fulfils its mission best by helping punters help themselves rather than spoonfeeding.

That's why, when Platinum Cindy tweeted her e-mail address, all I did was to say that she had, rather than spread it around. I think that we have to be careful what we expand into the public domain without express permission.

At the moment, reviews are "recommendations". There is an element of free advertising when a positive review is posted as it links to the AW profile. Posting a telephone number, to me, seems pushing reviews from recommendations to advertising. It costs a prossie £1 a day to publish their number on AW, why should they get it free here?

I get your point ------------------- but for the last 12 years phone numbers have appeared on auto-censored reports.   :unknown:

But they have not allowed reports for anyone on AW. Only those with their own websites.

And I know there are workarounds but I tried it for dropping a review for Impossible Princess and it was rejected due to no URL so its not foolproof a workaround just it seems when Galahad can be bothered to let it slip through

Offline lovingfacials

All I do is put any numbers I want to keep on a word doc & then email to myself -

that way if i need to retrieve a number I simply call up the document from my phone - it doesn't even have to be my punting phone either as All Im doing is looking at an attachment that has a 'bland name'

I update the sheet every now & again so I have a 'portable virtual backup'

Not really the case, you just can't mention Adultwork, they don't have to have their own website, less than 1% of AW girls have their own website anyway.

My report on Lisainwonderland was accepted.

Not in the least, I did that report as a favour to the girl ----- not to support auto-censored.   :hi:

Can I just add that I will not be doing any more reports on auto-censored until they allow Adultwork names to be included in the report.
