This profile turned up on my alerts, disabled WG following a stroke

Didnt know whether to post it or not but i thought Fair play to her for not giving up on life after being struck down with this

Is there many working disabled girls? Can't imagine there's too many

I am sure there must be quite a few. I am classed as disabled hence I take a lot of time off work and normally only manage between 2 & 4 days a week and only work when I feel able enough to give my best.
Not all disabilities are visible and there are many that affect the central nervous system or are muscular skeletal or auto immune disabilities. People with these will look fine on good days. Illnesses such as MS, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Myasthenia Gravis and many more can look like the person has nothing wrong at all unless you know what to look for.
Obviously some progress to a point where the disability is obvious to all but until that point they look perfectly healthy

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia just over 2years ago and fortunately have found ways to recover to a much better state of health than I used to be. Some days bed ridden but they do NOT recognise FM as a disability in the UK although I had to crawl to the toilet on my worst days

After reading her blog she's a bit of an attention whore and has been on Snog, Marry, Avoid, a program on BBC3 and attempted to get onto another tv program but was kicked off when they found out her other work.

I think she has done a few videos too. Not a fan of the tattoo on her chest but I would still like to see her.

If an obviously disabled WG offers a good service and is honest about her disability in her advertising then good luck to her. She has the same right as an adult to make a living as a WG as a non disabled WG.

Absolutely, its hard enough to forge a living when your able bodied let alone carrying any sort of disability

Perhaps it's a silly thing to worry about; but I feel a bit sorry for her if she sees her "Views" have suddenly gone through the roof because of this thread and she doesn't get any bookings as a result!

try some tolerance please, it might help you relax. It does happen to ladies that they get cancer and they do their best to retain a semblance of normality in the face of adversity. I am not one for celebrities but even a famous film star has recently come out about breast removal and prosthetic replacement and seems to have retained public admiration.

Answering your earlier question, hp; no, I've not seen any WG who's had a mastectomy.

I must confess, though, while I've never thought about visiting such a WG; I've often wondered about the more general issue of a WG suddenly having to cope with a diagnosis of breast cancer. I realise that, these days, not all breast cancers require a mastectomy, particularly if detected soon enough, but it must be a blow for a WG who's told that a mastectomy is required. I can't imagine that, when she's recovered from the surgery, she'll be optimistic about resuming her "career".

Interesting thought. Since most of them have fake bangers I wonder how that is dealt with in a mastectomy, if they can be re-used perhaps, or maybe take the opportunity while under to go up a cup size.

Nowadays you can have reconstructive surgery pretty quickly and they can often do it at the same time unless chemo is needed and then they would have to put a tissue expander under the skin to keep the skin stretched for after chemo when the implants can be put in. They can also skip the implant and have more natural ones by having tissue removed from other fatty areas and used as breast tissue instead. If no chemo is needed they can then have natural looking boobs straight away. However if the nipple is removed they will then have to have this tattooed on. It is the womans choice if she has them done straight away or not but some don't want it done until they have healed from surgery and can see if they want implants or not. It is not for everyone

Sorry to late reply, these shows approached me not the other way around. It's very fashionable to be disabled these days apparently. I do not have a tattoo on my chest.

I've seen a couple of disabled wg appear on adultwork, and wondered how any disabled wg are there out there? I must admit I find it a bit of a turn on as I'm always looking for something different.
