If there's a pimp involved its likely they will be putting pressure on the wg to earn see all punters and provide services the wg may not be happy with. If you go into a booking believing that the other party is gonna be shit, that attitude will effect you and becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. I'm lucky in that I'm still fairly new to this and have only had one bad experience but if I ever got jaded to the point of believing a punt is gonna be bad no matter what I'd quit there and then rather then keep wasting my time.

It's not hard to understand.  The alki buys the alcohol to "quench" his yearning for the drink even though he knows the drink is no good him.  Similar to the gambler who can't help making big stake bets even though he knows he is ruining himself financially.  Or the fat guy that can't stop drinking coke even though he knows it's bad for his health.  So it follows that some punters simply want to bust a nut (which is a need) even they know psychologically they don't feel great in the long run paying for sex.
