When I raised the matter with paypal they would not look into the case as it was showing as money sent to "family and friends" and was not a case of goods not sent or being damaged or not as described, and when I flagged things up with adultwork they said they did not get involved with cases of deposits for escort bookings.

Paypal is technically correct.  However it is now a criminal offence within the UK for an escort to request a deposit for "sexual" services. It is perfectly legal for a masseuse to request a deposit if no sexual services are provided.  You did well to bring this to members attention and if you wish the police will lay charges but likely an English court well away from home and you will be called as a witness, your choice. All to often we hide problems believing them to be our failings when they are only a roll of the dice. Many years ago I was cajoled into a flat only to be threatened by a boyfriend with a knife. Not pleasant especially for him.

Plenty of folks have pointed out, without offering sympathy, that the negative reviews for her scamming people and not fulfilling escort bookings she has taken deposits for have been helpful to other users of the site who may have been tempted by some of her photos to try and make a booking. The most recent review shows that my review was not a one off. Still no one has posted to say they have met her during an escort booking.

In 25 years punting I have been scammed twice - once in the RLD in Aberdeen where I handed over money in a flat and the girl went to freshen up and the next person through the bedroom door was a big burly man mountain of a guy saying I was in his flat and then once with Kylie about  15 years later - having paid deposits to secure bookings with some touring escorts and local dommes with no problems whatsoever.

While I wholeheartedly agree with you, reviews like this are posted for positive reasons; the good of the community here.  Folk shouldn't be discouraged from posting these experiences, if one guy is willing to hold his hands up and admit to being a twat and it saves others from being ripped off then he shouldn't be subject to abuse for it.
